"I had surgery yesterday and everyone was amazing. They made me feel like they really care and Teresa was awesome getting me ready for my procedure. I felt like I was in good hands there...all those angels around me. Thank you so much."
"I have been in this hospital 4 separate weeks over the last 5 months and I can without a doubt say I can not find even one thing, not one of the nursing staff, techs, Doctors, to complain about. Everyone is top notch. I am blessed to be a Vet seved at this hospital. God speed to you all"
"This Va just completed major renovations, they must have been mostly cosmetic because they are not a full service hospital. They are lacking in 1. urology & 2. VA transportation. I need a urology MRI and it isn't available at this VA. I need VA transportation for the procedure and that's not available either.Wow what a disappointment.Direc David K Dunning can you please help."
"The best VA I have been to has motivating and helpful doctor and staff. So much better than San Francisco! If you disagree, see for yourself how lucky veterans are in Tampa in comparison."
"I have gone through every primary care provider at this facility to try and get the treatment I deserve. I am not just talking about care that I believe I should be receiving, but rather I am talking about being treated like a human being. As long as I have routine care for problems I have had before I get treated great. However, I was diagnosed with an anterior wedge shaped deformity in my back, which is basically a broken vertebrae that began to hurt to the point I was contemplating suicide and all I got for my pain was nothing. This VA let me suffer for five years despite openly admitting that I was in obvious pain and that I deserve to be treated for it. The pain clinic treated me like I am a junkie trying to get medication despite my pleas that I wasn't after medication, but rather I wanted treatment, or to have my problem fixed by surgery. I get amazing mental healthcare treatment. But, every primary care provider that I have had the misfortune of encountering has had attitude problems, and treated me like I am a burden rather than a human being that literally sold my soul to the Country. I have also received countless letters over the years from various departments claiming that they have tried to call me by phone a number of times when no phone call ever took place. The letters always claim they left voice mails for me to call them back and those never happened. I always get in contact with the VA as soon as I know I have to. All things considered I do consider myself lucky because there are worse VA hospitals out there, but I wish the primary care doctors were better trained in dealing with mentally disabled Veterans, and I wish they were better trained in dealing with Veterans at all. I would consider moving to a VA healthcare system that is more renown for treating their Veterans with the care we deserve, but I doubt I will find a mental health care provider that is better than the one I see."
