"Didn’t even get the opportunity to see the doctor I was referred to here simply due to the front office staff! Poor communication & terrible customer service. Spoke with at least 4 people (in both scheduling & billing) and not a single one was friendly or helpful… it was almost as if they were bothered to do their job and had a poor attitude from the time they picked up the phone. Wouldn’t recommend this office at all! Was referred by my doctor on a Friday and was told I would get a call from their office no later than the following Tuesday. Wednesday came and still no call— called the office personally myself and they said they could not make an appointment for me due to the referral being from an Urgent care. Got proof from my insurance company they no longer required a referral at all, but they still would not schedule an appointment for me. Had to get approval from insurance, which I did. Called their office at 4:30 in the afternoon (they are open until 5) and the office was “closed”. Finally got a hold of them the following week and had my insurance personally reach out. Thought everything was resolved as they literally SPOKE with my insurance (my insurance even relayed to me they were confused on why this office was pushing back so much when my insurance is accepted and everything was cleared), but again when I tried to make an appointment they decided this time they needed written proof— something they should have addressed while on the phone with my insurance! This is all before even being able to make an appointment… After over a week of back and forth, VERY happy to take my business elsewhere. What a disappointing experience, your staff is pushing patients away prior to them even having a chance to be seen!"
"ALLERGY CENTER OFFICE ADMIN gets 1 star, the actual practice is wonderful (Dr.'s, PAs, etc.). I had so many issues with getting my test results and follow-up appointment set. Had I not taken the initiative to call back (for the 3rd time), I would have never received any communication about my test results. The incompetence of simple appointment setting, ensuring records are correct, and confidentiality is astounding. I won't get into the details, but when you're told to go on a "brief hold" and then listen to the conversation the person is having with another patient, including hearing DOB, name, etc...that's a problem. Either put the caller on a REAL hold, or call them back. Part 2 of this is as she's taking my information, spelling out my name, my DOB, she's saying this OUT LOUD on the phone with me. If you know the Allergy office set-up, you can literally hear every part of a phone conversation since the desk is just a few feet from those waiting for testing. Completely inappropriate and not at all in adherence of patient privacy. Not knowing how to work in the scheduling system, blaming it on "being new" and just overall lack of empathy or understanding of the impact this has on a patient who is waiting on test results for relief is inexcusable. I won't be back, which is a shame, because I REALLY like my Doctor. But I have zero confidence in the person they have who is patient facing, much less my privacy and integrity of my medical records to be correct."
"I am skeptical of doctors, but I couldn't be more pleased with this office. I first saw Dr. Shelton who helped me get my hearing back and set me up for a hearing test to be sure it was back to normal. The hearing office was great. I also go to the allergy office for shots once a week and enjoy the staff and the patients."
"Pray that you don’t get “nurse” Sherri for Dr Shelton. She is rude , impatient, and doesn’t respond to messages or emails. I have been calling this location for 5 days to get the results of my biopsy. I was only able to get her on the phone after asking to speak to her supervisor. When she got on the phone she was very rude and acted as if I was bothering her. Everyone else was very nice except “nurse” Sherri, and I use the term nurse loosely pertaining to her. She has no manners and simply doesn’t care that we’re dealing with serious issues and have concerns about our conditions. I will be finding another specialist, I wouldn’t feel safe with this “nurse” doing any procedure on me. And I never received any results."
