"I have neuropathy from Covid (not poor life style) and made an appointment with Clearwater Medical Group BUT IT’S THE SAME PEOPLE AS ST. PETE MEDICAL GROUP! That’s why I want to leave my review here too. I was PRESSURED to bring my husband but they finally agreed with me coming alone and told me I should allow 1 to 1.5h for the first appt. I was met by case manager Jeremy. He told me that all neuropathy was always the result of poor circulation (red flag Not true). I then was led into a freezing cold room to wait for the NP. I had to wait in there for a long time (hint: it’s the room they take the thermo pictures of your feet/hands). After evaluation she left the room, then came back saying she had no time to wait for the pictures to download + that I needed to come back for another appt. She said I should come the next day and that I would HAVE to bring my husband. I friendly decline, said I would come alone to which she agreed to. When they reminded me of my appt the next day they told me I should plan on 1h for the second appt, but allow for 2h in case I would start treatment. I was PRESSURED to bring my husband or the appt. would be cancelled!. She said they DON’T ALLOW a married person to come alone but would check back. They finally agreed I could come alone. The “studies” I was given were just statements all written up. I looked up the according studies, and some others, myself. The meta study was the result of 2500 relevant studies; it didn’t show a picture of effectiveness. Also, even in the studies that showed improvement in pain (subjective measure), the nerve fiber density (the recovery of the nerve) didn’t improve after 3x weekly treatment over 3 months. At my second appt. Jeremy showed me the thermo pictures of my feet. My toes and balls of my foot were all dark blue and purple (as reference, it should be as bright yellow as can be in healthy feet). He said it looked pretty bad and I needed treatment urgently. He showed me the treatment program; it was over $13,000 for 10 weeks and asked if I had questions. Only about 10-15 minutes had passed by then. I had a lot of questions. I asked him about the studies, the findings that there was no improvement in nerve fiber density. He said he was not a doctor and could not answer any of my questions. I also asked about their claim that the treatment could make blood vessels grow. The study they show on a laminated poster was actually an in VITRO study (done in a petri dish, not on a live body) and done on the aortal rings (not limbs) of rats (not people). In vivo on rat parts does not automatically mean it’s the same in a live human body! When I asked Jeremy about it he told me he had no time for this. I said we just had 20min and I was told I had 1h. He said he never had this kind of time. I could clearly tell that he was very uncomfortable with my questions. Jeremy would neither tell me what was in the IV that they would give me. I would never sign up for a injection without knowing what it is! All seemed very fishy. So I booked an appointment with a different neuropathy relief provider that offered the thermo scan for my feet. They showed me the picture right away, within 5 minutes(!). There was no purple or blue on any part of my feet!! Just very bright yellow and a slight orange. I know I have PN, but Clearwater Medical Group uses pressure and scare tactics (and as it seems “false” pictures) to pressure you into buying their program I’m not saying that in some cases their program could not make a (temporary) difference in your pain and with weight loss (which can help with PN) But you don’t have to pay over 13,000 dollars for it. I’ve been doing treatment with 660nm/880nm, PEMF, B12 shots, shockwave, I know what I’m talking about. Their scare tactics and the pressure they put on you is appalling. Most of all with the picture of my feet that was showing way more “damage” than there actually is. Taking advantage of desperate people is ethically so wrong. Check Better Business Bureau! They are part of Arch Medical Group. Update: nobody has reached out to me!"
"The time that I spent in treatment has made a huge difference in my ability to walk and stand for longer. I have not used my walker since starting my therapy, I also am no longer afraid to park further away and walk into the store. My legs and feet are not painful anymore. I don't have to wake up from my slee because of the painful legs and feet."
"Buyer beware. My husband and I were invited to a "free" dinner at a local restaurant to hear about peripheral neuropathy. We agreed to their $29 special in-office evaluation for me. It consisted of taking "infrared" pictures of my feet and testing my reactions (on feet and lower leg) with various instruments. I then provided a subjective number from 1-10 indicating my ability to feel certain sensations. I don't know the credentials of the pleasant young woman doing these tests. (I know there was a Nurse Practitioner on site but we never met with her.) Finally, we met with the same man (Jeremy) who gave us the restaurant presentation. He gave me a diagnosis of peripheral neuropathy based on a questionable photograph and my own subjective report of my ability to feel sensations. I don't know what his credentials are. My husband and I indicated that we would investigate other avenues regarding neuropathy I may or may not have. I realize some people may have major symptoms requiring treatment but I think there is a legitimate reason that insurance companies don't cover this treatment. Anyone agreeing to the treatment must, then, pay out of pocket. Please be careful before you agree to any kind of treatment and investigate thoroughly."
"Seriously a life changing treatment. At the start of this you couldn’t even touch my hands and I wasn’t able to even use them without being in pain. I also went from not being able to walk without being in massive amounts of pain and crying to being able to walk again. I can’t stress it enough that this is so worth it. And the staff is honestly amazing. They make the whole experience that much easier. I can’t thank them enough for everything they did and how amazing they were."
"The staff here at St Pete Medical Group are awesome, so caring, & attentive to your needs! We walked in with our daughter (31yo) at 98lbs, she was barely able to walk, couldn’t even hold a fork, & unable to dress herself due to the neuropathy pain she was experiencing. She had throbbing pain in her hands & feet and had lost sensitivity in both. It was very bleak & we were all scared of her future. The staff made a plan & she was able to start treatment day one. They were very personable & we were able to call the Doctor at any time with concerns or questions & she was always there for us. The meal plan is very strict & people usually lose weight when starting it but my daughter was able to actually gain weight & is a healthy 121lbs now. We found ways to cook so she could enjoy eating all the same foods with a few tweaks her & there. She is eating clean & loving to cook for herself again. Today was graduation day (10weeks down) & what a difference! She is able to go back to work & she is resuming a normal life again! This was a long journey of finding the right treatment & this clinic set her on the path of recovery! We highly recommend them if you are experiencing neuropathy, she is 98% healed & will continue to get to that 100% with the meal plan & continued treatments at home. It takes following their plan to get the results my daughter has achieved & we were all invested in this process! Thank you to the staff for being there for us & treating us like family!"
