Because You Can

"My Daughter struggles with reading, memory, and processing disorders. She has grown so much since working with the therapists at BYC. We have been going to them for over 4 years. I'm not sure where we would be if did not find them. the care and compassion they all give to these children is amazing. My Daughter and I are very grateful!"

"They wasted our time. I hope you won't let them waste yours. I called and made an appt for an evaluation. The appt was scheduled approx 2 months out bc they only do evaluations a couple times a week. The gentleman I spoke with was very kind but he forgot to book the appt even though he remembered to send the paperwork for me to fill out. 2 months later, I find out that the appt never got scheduled. They are apologetic and reschedule our 1st evaluation for 6 weeks later. 6 week later, I call them in a panic bc somehow I forgot to complete their paperwork. The nice lady that answered the phone advised me not to worry bc I could turn in the paperwork after the evaluation, if necessary. Then, she sees our appt had been cancelled. She speaks with the therapist and finds out that our appt was canceled bc they never received the paperwork. If these people cared about anyone's time but their own, they would have called and requested paperwork. A reminder call would have been appropriate...maybe even a call asking IF I had sent in the paperwork but instead, after over 3 months of waiting, our appt is canceled for a reason that didnt even seem to be a thing to the person answering the phone. The left hand doesnt know what the right hand is doing in this office. They tried to reschedule the appt again...for just 4 weeks out this time and we declined. They may be good at therapy but we'll never know because their etiquette leaves so much to be desired. I hope they get it together for the good of the children they are trying to serve."

"Because You Can is absolutely AMAZING!.....pretty much miracle workers! My son has a diagnosis of quadriplegic spastic cerebral palsy, wheelchair bound, non-verbal, and with little control over his extremities; due to these diagnosis, my son wasn't given many opportunities to excel, UNTIL Because You Can! Jen saw my son's potential! She evaluated him and recommended an eye gaze device for him to use to communicate! My son has been receiving speech therapy for years from Because You Can and has become proficient in using his eye gaze device! They have also taken the time to teach me on the use of his device as well as answering any questions I may have and offering encouragement along the way! He is now receiving his education through them which includes OT, ST, as well as music therapy and I couldn't be happier! My son is actually learning how to read! His world has completely changed as a result of Because You Can giving him a voice and mine is forever changed after hearing my son say "I Love You" for the 1st time!"
