"This woman was the absolute worst! I wasn’t even in her office 15 mins before she stated “I don’t think I can help you” completely discouraging when you’re trying to find help for your mental health struggles. If you are younger, I’m 30, I do not recommend this woman. Very close minded & very judgmental."

"The appointment was not off to a great start when I was seen 30 mins late. Immediately in the beginning of the appointment before hearing of my situation, I was told I should not be seeing my trusted therapist of five years- because of a recent move. Instead I was instructed to see the therapist in her office that does not take insurance. As off-putting as that was I continued on with appointment. I found her manner to be slightly dismissive and aggressive. Talking quickly and not taking my previous diagnosis or care into account. She also wrote me a prescription for a new medication that I had not asked for (or needed), citing that a drug rep had recently told her about it and wanted to see how I would react. This made me feel like a guinea pig and not a patient. Overall I did not feel like my thoughts and past treatments were being valued. I will not be going back."

"Dr. Mikulka means a lot to me. I was going through a critical time in my life where I experienced Trauma. I walked into Dr. Mikulka's office sensitive and vulnerable. I walked into her office lost and not knowing how to save myself. That was the last day I would feel that low. After speaking to me She immediately came up with a treatment plan to get me as much wrap around holistic care as possible. Dr. Mikulka championed me and supported me. As a Black woman I was nervous if this white woman won be able to reach me but she did and she even got me connected with a black counselor for talk therapy as well. She saw me wholly and made sure she cared for me. I adore this doctor. I keep her number close in case I ever sink again. I spent a year and a half seeing her and climbed out of my trauma. It has been a couple years since my last appointment but that is the point she gave me what I needed for over a year and now I have coping mechanisms and techniques I learned with her. I don't write reviews often but I am writing this one because this woman saved my life and the world should know about it Edit June 2022: Dr. Mikulka has changed. She seems to be burned out, short tempered and uncaring. They had a flood and claim that is why files are missing and she could barely recall when she first saw me. Just so sad to see. Stay away from her. I have had 3 visits now and she seems very unstable and ill tempered. She is a danger not only to other patients but maybe herself. I now see what others are talking about. Stay away from Dr. Mikulka. She is not ok."

"If you value your life please stay away. I have never felt more compelled to write a review about anything before. I was referred to her from my therapist who warned me she was a “little different.” I had never seen a psychiatrist before so I didn’t know what to expect. I was a week out of the suicide of my fiancé. Needless to say I was beyond vulnerable. I can honestly say the two visits I had with her where more traumatizing than my fiancé’s suicide. She was flustered, and acted annoyed with me. She made accusations about my lifestyle and the way I looked. She refused to listen to me and wrote me a script for a serious antipsychotic that has a potential side effect of DEATH. She also told me I was too complicated and beyond help and that no therapist could ever help me. It also needs to be noted that while I started to cry in her office she randomly started singing a song about my name. It baffled me and scared me as I couldn’t understand what I was witnessing. She basically kicked me out and said she wanted no return appointment from me. I left her office believing I was beyond help. HOW DARE a professional make people who come to her in their worst moments feel even more scared and helpless. She needs her license removed before she kills someone if she already hasn’t. I am two years out of that awful experience and I’ve continued to heal and live a normal life. Nothing wrong with me, I was just experiencing a traumatic life experience. Had I taken the medication she prescribed I would probably have ended up with serious irreversible problems. Please do not see her, and if you do and have a similar experience report her. I wish I had. She is EVIL and needs help herself. I have been scared to seek any professional help since her. Easily one of my top 5 most horrific experiences of my life."

"I just did an interview on the phone to become a new patient. Ann, the secretary, was horrible because I listed my physical issues, she was like you might benefit from other doctors. If you have any physical health issues, she doesn't want you. If you hospitalized at all, she doesn't want you. I was back in 2003, so 15 plus years ago. She still doesn't want you. If you have a mental health issue, you want to find a stable doctor who cares about you. I believe these reviews now."
