"I was very extremely disappointed with my experience with this office. First thing that threw me off was the communication. They do not answer the messages you leave in their voicemail, no matter how detailed the messages. Main issue I had was this though, when I spoke to someone I gave him my insurance information and he tells me he will find out if the office accepts the insurance. I wait till the next day and no call back so I call them back. He tells me he verified with billing and they do accept it. He then tells me to setup the patient profile online which has you call the insurance company and ask them over 20 questions of your coverage so it’s up to you, the customer, to do the legwork for the office. That’s fine, I get that done and call back several days later to setup the first appointment. I finally speak to someone and the person over the phone tells me he has to speak to billing to verify if they accept my insurance….I tell him they are in network, I verified it from my end and even setup the profile at the instruction of the office. He saids no, still need to check. I don’t get a call back the next day so I call. I am then told that he texted her yesterday and she never called back. He will call her again. I then get a call back to be told that no, we don’t accept out of state insurance because “sometimes they don’t pay.” Even though it’s in network, someone in billing made a decision with a broad stroke and put all out of state insurances together and decided that sometimes they don’t pay. This place might have the best psychologist in Miami but the gatekeepers of billing didn’t want me in. Also, I wasn’t even given the option of paying out of pocket. Bottom line here is this, they do not accept out of state insurance, even if they tell you at first that they do."
