Reviews
"I knew on visit 2, when she didn't recognize me and tried to start intake paperwork that I should have went somewhere else. "Disorganized", as another review stated, is accurate. Now I have to convince a different doctor to ammend this ladies paperwork because she refuses."
"I have read some pretty negative remarks, but have got to tell you I have been seeing her for almost a year and she has done wonders for me. She has taught me how to not wallow in my pity. When I had a melt down and my daughter had to call JSO they met me at her office and she dropped everything to come out and talk to me and JSO. So everyone has a right to their opinion but I have a right to disagree, and I do. I trust her with my life."
"Dr Hughes is fantastic. She is very competent and knowledgeable, but also compassionate. She truly cares and wants to help!"
"Hands down the most disorganized, disconnected "doctor" I've seen, and we didn't make it to my second session because she "forgot" she booked me. She came out and asked if she could help me, as well as asked me my name after we had an hour long session just a week earlier. She said to text her to re-schedule and she would waive my co-pay the next appointment. Not only did she not respond to my texts until 2 days later, but who cares about waiving my co-pay when I clearly need mental health treatment? This woman should not be practicing as a doctor. Period. Mental health is extremely serious and she clearly doesn't treat her profession as a priority;this includes office organization, calendar acuity, and responsiveness. Absolutely horrific experience, as if choosing to seek help isn't difficult enough."
"Had a psychological evaluation required before being approved for a Spinal Cord Stimulator. It was a simple written test which only took about ten minutes, and self-completed while she was seeing another patient. I chatted with her afterward and she was very pleasant and seemed to be very competent. She was to transmit the results to my pain doctor the next day. When I didn't hear from my pain doctor's office confirming receipt of the test after EIGHT DAYS, I called their office and they stated they had not yet received it. They immediately requested it again, and received it that afternoon...(this was after I had called Dr. Hughes office to inform her of my unhappiness with the matter). This results in a delay in approval of my pain stimulator by 8 days which means eight additional days of intense nerve pain from sciatica and lumbar spinal stenosis which I have.
