"The best choice I ever made for my son and for my family. The ability to discuss matters with a professional and caring individual that understands the nuances of young adulthood, identity, and independence has allowed my son to thrive and survive the harsh realities of real life and emerging adulthood. I'm confident that each session brings him closer to reaching his full potential. Investing in yourself is always the right thing to do especially when it comes to matters of the mind. Taking care of your mental health is not taboo! A sound mind is worth its weight in gold."
"Rj has changed my life 100%! It started when I first called and he answered personally. I was thinking a secretary would answer, like a doctor’s office. I had never reached out to a therapist before and expected something like the movies. Instead, his process helped me learn to control my thoughts, caused me to reflect positively on my achievements, set boundaries—especially with family and close friends & co workers, stand on what I want, and also challenged my thought process to allow for reasoned debate in my mind in real-time so I wouldn’t jump to conclusions about a situation and ruin my reality. Coming to Rj was well worth it. I wasn't clinically depressed but definitely discouraged with my life at the time, and after about 7 months of working with him my blood pressure is down, my social scene is 1000% better, no social anxiety, no anxiety at work, and my relationships with women have taken off after years and years of feeling like the “nice guy”, and not being good with women. 10/10. Would definitely recommend him to a young professional who struggles to see where he fits in the world."
"RJ is an amazing therapist. Not only is he a great listener he also provides solid tools in handling issues practically. I was also impressed with him checking up on issues that we discussed weeks prior. His ability to meet through video conferencing was refreshing since I didn’t live in the same city and he took my insurance which was a plus!"
"I reached out to RJ for some personal counseling under the advisement of a couples counselor. My couples counselor suggested that me and my SO get individual counseling to work through any issues and come back together for couples counseling. My search led me to RJ. RJ seemed really great, it appeared that he cared while talking to me on the phone for his intake process. We agreed upon meeting twice a month for sessions, I wanted once a month, he told me twice a month was the minimum he was willing to meet. During our first meeting (which was great!), when he was asking me about my SO he asked if it would be okay if I asked her to reach out for a counseling session. I originally thought that may be a good idea, if he helped us independently, potentially bridging the gap between us. Also, RJ assured me "I know how to communicate with women, they don't always say what they mean and I'm really good at translating what women mean" I found this to be kinda of distasteful, but I was really hoping he could help our relationship troubles. The day after my session, he has a session with my SO. My SO informs me that he told her he wouldn't see her any less than once a week. A week goes by, and my SO has her 2nd session. At this point RJ is calling and texting me outside of sessions to attempt to get me to do a couples session with him. For nearly an hour on the phone he assured me he knew exactly what my SO was trying to communicate and would reveal what she was trying to say in the session. Based on the things my SO had told me about her two sessions I was less than hopeful for this couples session, and my gut feeling was correct. He had no insight to share with me, he couldn't translate what my SO was saying, and ended up blaming me for my SOs behavior in our relationship. For a counselor that I had agreed to see 2 times a month, I had 2 sessions in a week, and he also convinced my SO to have 2 sessions in a week... I felt like RJ assessed my pain level and used that to leverage 4 sessions in 1 week. After our couples counseling session I felt like RJ saw $$$ when he looked at me and my SO. All said and done, the 4 sessions were more hurtful to our relationship than helpful. If you have a relationship problem (and love your SO), I highly recommend you find someone else."
"RJ is a wonderful and kind therapist. He has made a huge difference in the life of my family. While being very compassionate, he also challenges his patients to remain accountable for their actions and also to move forward towards their recovery goals. Choosing RJ as a therapist will benefit not just you but also all of those around you as he works with everyone even your support network to help you become the person you want to be. I can’t recommend him enough!"
