"Carol is the best therapist ever. She is straight forward, she is compassionate but she will not just sit there to hear you complain. If you just need to vent but do not want to hear where the root cause of problems and how to address them, then do not go with her. I would just say: find a friend who would listen to you without challenging you to get better. If you really want to address any issues, and find a way to be better everyday, then Carol is your person. I love her so much, and I’m not going to lie, the first few sessions were hard because I just didn’t want to hear and see the truth. As time went on, I see Carol has kind of a crystal ball. What she says would probably happen. Her experience with thousand of clients and her knowledge is on point. I don’t know what I would have done without her. I refuse to not continue seeing her. Even when there aren’t any issues. We all can always be better. Trust me and stay strong. A few sessions and you’ll love her as much as I do."

"Some people can’t handle the direct in-your-face real truth of their situation...instead they want someone to tell them “it’s ok” in a baby fluffy voice and let’s them stay in their mess just to placate their feelings...but reality is after a good therapist LISTENS, they should SPEAK- and that’s what Carol Lynn does. I have recommended her to at least 5 people because by far - she’s been the BEST therapist out of like 10 I had initial sessions with to see if they would help me or “just listen”!!!! If I want someone to listen I can call anyone of my 20 girlfriends and they will listen for free. Carol Lynn is down to earth, not judgmental, is mentally available, thoroughly engaged in the conversation and always ethical and practical. She also doesn’t ramble off on her religious practices as some therapists do, which I appreciate. The only reason I don’t see her regularly anymore is because she was able to help me get to a healthy place where I healed tremendously after narcissistic abuse. She did EXACTLY what a GREAT therapist should do ( because some string you on so they continue to get a paycheck....just saying ). Should I ever need an energetic, wise, and open counselor that cares enough to give me REAL counsel again, Carol Lynn Kane will be it! No contest! Hand down! My #1 pick, no matter the cost."

"If you are looking for someone to give you advice, based on their personal values, beliefs, and experiences, Carol will gladly do that. If, however, you are looking for a true, person-centered counselor that will help you navigate challenges and solve problems as your partner, I don't think Carol is a great fit. During my initial visit, I didn't feel truly listened to or understood. Instead, I was told what to do. As a trained counselor myself, I was disappointed in the lack of empathy and was taken back by Carol imposing her own values on my life. Displaying empathy, ensuring biases are checked, and not imposing personal beliefs and values on a client are critical components to the counseling profession to help empower clients. I did not leave feeling empowered, at least not beyond choosing to not return. That said, if you are truly looking for a parent figure to help you navigate your situation in a direct manner, Carol is worth a shot. Her style did not work for me. Giving two starts for her care around confidentiality and getting me fit into her schedule during times that worked for me."

"Carol Lynn was a saving grace for me. She listened to everything I had to say during our sessions and helped collaborate to find the best course of treatment. I went in with no opinion or idea on how to overcome my issues and she let me know that I was in full control of my recovery. She didn’t force any certain kind of treatment on me (including medication) and we tried different forms of therapy until we found one that worked best for me personally. I can’t recommend her enough."

"I would not recommend Carol Lynn. I went seeking help from a more natural approach and wanting to get help with talk therapy. I was out right refused help and was told that I will never overcome the issue that I am dealing with without the use of medication. I left feeling worse than I did going in. I would not recommend her to anyone who is seeking for talk therapy."
