Reviews
"I had a bad experience here a few weeks ago. Reluctantly was sent to the ER in the pregnancy dept. One of the nurses was extremely rude and disrespectful. I kept asking to be discharged because I didn't feel I needed to be there and they kept me about 4 hours and sent 3 bills total around $5000 when all they did was give me an IV for dehydration and check a urine sample. Now I have to pay almost $900 out of pocket for nothing. Never again"
"Its like they really go out of their way not to take a payment from you. Tried everything. If you call you are just hung up on. This is a scamp operation."
"Should’ve read reviews and listened to the warnings on here regarding billing. Do not trust them. They are either just grossly misinformed or are okay lying to the patient to get them through the door. Originally was told that I met financial aid requirements after giving all my information- including that I had insurance. Submitted required documents and was told I would only hear back if I was denied. Never heard anything back until I get a call saying I owe the balance, that rules have changed now?, and to make payment/set up plan or I was being sent to collections in 6 days. I am now being blindsided with this bill when I was told it would be covered for me. I am not complaining about paying for a service I received- just about being lied to. Be careful or the rules could change on you too- you could go from being eligible to not without warning and now be responsible for a balance you weren’t expecting. I had no option but to set up a payment plan and now I’m going to worry about this balance on top of everything else. Just be careful I guess. Good luck!"
"Horrific billing practices! They will lie to you and say that they sent you bills, but will send all your bills to the wrong address, refuse to verify your bills, not attempt to contact you even though St. Joseph Women's has your proper contact information and then will send you to collections without even notifying you that you had a bill! Beware!!"
"Beware of the sticker price! I took my infant here and while the doctor was really nice, we didn't spend more than 20 min in her office. My insurance was billed $1,105.00 for new patient appointment (45+min visit) and $123 for a heart test. With my High Ded plan I had to pay $649.80!! I tried to talk to someone on the phone as to why the new patient appt is so high, but they said they can't change it and did offer a discount to pay the bill in full."
