"I won't even acknowledge her as a doctor! She showed absolutely NO concern or CARE for my daughter ! She was rude and when I asked questions as a concerned parent, she spent more time disputing with me then explaining my daughter's diagnosis. I also feel like she definitely discriminated against my daughter and me."
"Thumbs down. She did not seem to care about what my daughter had to say about her health and pretty much blew her off. To top it off I tried to get a hold of the office for awhile, even went up there and waited for someone to come. Last time I went stickers were being scraped off the door and the office was empty. It would have been nice to know that in advance."
"I have been coming to Dr. Smith for almost 3 years. She is absolutely wonderful. Then why am I giving her office 2 stars? Her receptionist staff is very rude. To the point that I have had to leave the office and seek other medical professionals. Every time I go to the window to ask a question she acts annoyed just today the office is full and I understand it’s taking longer to get to her appointments. 20min after I have been in the office a parent walks in and after an hour wait his child gets called first. I walk up to the counter and asked if they have skipped or missed my child. The receptionist annoyed says we are going by the appointments and I should talk to the office manager. I stated that ok I understand but I was on time and what was the point of signing the list. If she would have said you kid is next or say something other than “call the office manager” I wouldn’t be as upset. I have had to ask the reception in the past for asistance or questions, poor people skills. I really like Dr. Smith she is great but I interact more with her staff (the Dr. is very busy and obviously has patients to see). Ironically this weekend I went to an express clinic for my daughter and waited over 4 hrs and still rated them 5 stars because the staff and Dr. were kind, when patient name was called they explain they are behind due to the number of patients and never once gave poor customer service."
"I'm not sure if other reviews were written by the staff themselves, but this office has given myself and my wife the worst experience we've ever had in a doctor's office. When we had our daughter at Brandon Regional, she was one of the recommended pediatricians. She was also the closest to our new house so naturally we figured we'd try her out. From the minute we walked into the office, we recognized the office staff was abhorrently rude and disrespectful - from a sign on their window that basically accused parents of always bringing children late and as such would be charged $25 in the future (In a few more words but could have been written more politely) to the front receptionist who closed the window and would scold the first person to try and get a question answered. As a parent and new patient, if we can't get our questions answered by a receptionist about insurance necessities and anything else, that's a deterrent in of itself. Then we met the doctor who was actually very kind and polite (a welcome relief) but asked the same questions read off of a computer screen for our 4-day, week, and 2-week appointments. When we asked questions about rashes, bumps, and anything else, the only reply was, "oh, that's normal." It's great if it's normal, but as new parents, we'd like to know what these rashes and bumps are. All of this caused us to seek out another doctor in Brandon, and the experience there has been a lot more pleasant. We're getting questions answered in a more personable way, and the office staff is very pleasant. To anyone considering taking their child here, reconsider. Most parents have busy lives and to not be able to go to your child's doctor and have simple questions answered just adds more stress."
"I liked Dr. Smith. She was great, but she has the worst office staff that I have ever encountered. First, the wait times were horrendous, but I am not sure who is at fault for that. Secondly, they got two of my appointments wrong. The first time, they called me the day before the appointment to confirm for the wrong date, so I had them change it to the right date and all was well aftet that. The second time I took the day off to take my son to his appointment, and they told me it wasn't for another week. When they make the appointments I enter it into my calendar as they are telling me, so I now I didn't make a mistake TWICE. Like most parents, I am extremely busy and do not have time for incompetence. Between four children, work, and grad school this was quite the annoyance. They never even offered an apology or anything. Dr. Smith should find better office staff."
