"Dr. Chris Okonkwo is the best pediatrician in Marion County. All three of my children have been coming here for 17 years. I have a great deal of respect for him, and my children love seeing him. It’s easy to tell he loves children. My son was sent to Shands for treatment, and the doctors there told me what a great doctor he was. It’s a great compliment to Dr. Okonkwo that his colleagues think so highly of him. I agree."

"I am stunned over the negative reviews. I have been bringing my children here since they were born. My oldest is 9 years old and my youngest is 3 years. Both have seen Dr. O as babies and now see the ARNPs now that they are older. Dr. O primarily sees the babies (newborns) which is why your child may rarely see him once they are older. Dr. Laroche is a very knowledgeable and gifted doctor also who has seen both of my kids as well. The entire team is very professional, knowledgeable and kind. They listen to your concerns, ask questions. Yes they ask about guns in the home but it is part of their job to make sure kids are safe. So lock up your guns, people. It's a simple requirement. The office staff are very friendly and helpful. Best practice in Marion County for children. Hands down."

"My wife and I took my son here for the first four years. This office makes the visits feel very impersonal. Just about every visit we waited about 15 minutes up front and 45-60 minutes in a back room. Most of the time you see a Nurse, and they are very quick to get you out once they get to you. Recently, we took our son in and he was prescribed Amoxicillin for a sinus infection. We called the office to ask if we could get a different medicine because every time we had given it to him he developed a pretty big rash. Out of no where, the staff was very rude and asked us to find a new Doctor without any explanation of what the problem was. I would not recommend this Doctor to anyone."

"I cant give one star, because Dr. Okonkwo himself is a pleasure to deal with..."if" you ever get to see him. He has 3-4 nurse practitioners that do the majority of patients. We have brought our two children there for over 7 years and it has steadily become more about "insurance" and quantity rather then then quality care. We just recently had a new child and upon trying to make a new appointment, we were questioned excessively about insurance, told to have our 3 day old son put on his own insurance rather then moms and put on hold multiple times, it was just awful experience, when it should have been the opposite. We felt it was time to make a change after that. So if you don't mind them only caring about insurance, herding you in and out a fast as possible, unfriendly staff , never seeing the actual doctor, this is your place."

"The doctor and his staff are very nice and i feel like we can talk to them about concerns. My only problem is the high deductible and copay if your child comes in for a sick visit. Like for instance because my son had united healthcare through his dad, we had to pay 90+ dollars for a cold he had. I was like what the heck!!! But other than that, i would definitely refer others to this pediatrician."
