"The office staff and nurses are lovely, Dr. Mendez is not. Had I not looked at my blood work on my own and shared the results with another provider, I may have died from a life threatening condition. As I write this, I still have not heard from his office about the blood work in question, and was informed by my other provider that laboratories are required to send a critical alert to the doctors office directly. So he has either ignored these results for weeks or there was a terrible mistake. Your health and well-being should not be trusted with this man."
"This doctor has no idea how a professional, educated Medical Doctor should present himself. On my first appointment he complained about how hospitals are making more money then his practice can make. Definitely not a discussion to have with a new paitient!! If he or his staff ever read these reviews they may realize why this practice is not making money. Also, their infusion room is completely unsterile!! Blood and needle caps left on floor and chairs! One nurse did a blood test on me prior to infusion not removing needle properly causing me to bleed all over myself and chair. She cleaned (ha on the "clean") with an alcohol swab. That was my final appointment. Such indifference to proper care and sterile practices."
"Dr. Mendez and his staff seem very unprofessional. I took my father in for a new patient appointment and we were there 3 hours before being seen. While waiting in the lobby, I overheard the receptionist on the phone arguing a (loudly) about receiving her paycheck timely. He kept coming to the waiting room to count how many patients he had left and seemed focused on leaving. When we finally saw the doctor, he spent much of the time talking about politics. We had never met this doctor before. He ask about my employment, and then gave me (the non-patient) his unsolicited opinion regarding why he felt my government career was a waste of my time. I could go on and on about what an unpleasant experience we had at his office."
"Terrible! This Dr. Is more into politics than his own patients. He can't remember a conversation/concerns he had with you a week ago. Unprofessional! Do yourself or your family member a favor and find a doctor who truly cares and respects you and your needs."
"I'm looking for a new PCP and i came across this lead. I contacted his office to schedule an appointment. the automated system was great. it gave me an expectation of how long i would be holding (which was 2 minutes). I got someone on the phone who answered and asked me to hold. It took 10 minutes for this person to come back on the phone. highly unacceptable."
