"I was 24 with my second complicated pregnancy when I found Dr Long. He eased me through my long 41 weeks of pregnancy and delivered my baby. A couple of months later I needed a follow up but my insurance lapsed and he told the receptionist to keep me on the schedule and he did my exam for free so I could be healthy for my children. I was moving away and didn't want to risk having other complicated pregnancies without being in the care of such an experienced doctor so he worked with my insurance to give me a tubal ligation. I healed so quickly I didn't go back for another follow up but I did bring my son to see him before I left town. It's been 9 years and I still think fondly of the doctor who saved my son."

"My husband and I had been trying to have a baby for years when to our delight, I finally was pregnant. Two months later I miscarried and even though I was of course aware that it could happen, I was devastated. Dr. Long (and Dr. Macleod) we’re both there for me with their kind words to give me hope. Two years later I was again pregnant, but facing preeclampsia and an emergency C-section. It was New Years Eve. Dr. Long was on call and his firm but gentle calmness saw me through and our healthy baby girl was born safely. Two years later I had a high risk pregnancy and Dr Long brought in another doctor, who I also saw for the entire pregnancy and delivered a healthy baby boy. I will be forever grateful to have had Dr. Long with me for those potentially very difficult years in my family’s life. He never seemed hurried when I needed to vent my anxiety. He brought me a certain sort of peace just by his demeanor at each and every appointment and , of course, the deliveries. And btw, if I seem to be running on and give the impression that I’m telling you my experiences from just a few years ago…well each of those babies is now pushing 40 and I am a Gramma(: May God bless you Dr. Long and your staff."

"Dr. Long is old, past his retirement, and out of touch. I have never had such a horrible physician interaction in my life. After leaving my visit, I decided to return and speak to office staff about my experience because he was so abrasive and offensive. He no longer does any procedures and has basic out of date knowledge. I’m begging all the woman to not waste your time with this man. He is not for woman. He is not for any independent woman. He is of old school belief that woman are here to bear children only and serve men. I told him I did not want children, especially at nearly 40. His reply was… “well it wouldn’t be the worse thing in the world.”"
