"I live really close to this location and love coming here on Sundays. Today, I went to BAM with my daughter who wanted to purchase a book. I was asked if I had any discounts and then was asked for my phone number. The cashier did not believe that I was using my discount and asked for my ID. Which I decline to show her my ID. She went on to over explain why she is asking for my ID. Explaining that there was an incident last year, where a kid was using their parent's discount card, which she then stopped herself because that story did not make sense. Are children not allowed to use their parent's discount cards? Anyway, I told her that it was okay, I didn't need to use the discount if it was a problem. I did not give in to her nonsense. I just paid regular price for the book and went on my way. The fact is racism still exists in 2024 and I am tired of it. If I did not look like the way I do, she would not have doubted who I am for a STORE DISCOUNT. All is well, I am returning the book and will be buying my books elsewhere. I hate to be that customer, but I have to say it...BAM, you lost one today."
