"I could cry with how happy I am with Dr Towlsey. My pregnancy was so smooth and I always felt at ease with him. He is patient understanding and personally calls his patients. I was a high risk pregnancy due to being heavier and having a single umbilical artery and in the end developing pre-eclampsia. Dr Towlsey handled everything amazingly. Because of me being sick we ended up doing a c-section the Dr saw me everyday of the 5 days I was in the hospital my c-section went smooth and healed perfect. "He was coercive and manipulative with a laboring mother. When she asked for time to think about his adamant suggestion of pitocin because he expected labor to progress quicker than it was, he cut her off. Explaining to her that she needs to trust him and that her body wasn’t doing it right. I watched this confident mother quickly give up her hopes of having an unmedicated birth and unwillingly receive pitocin, simply because she was afraid that Dr Towsley would be angry and not assist in catching the baby. If you want an unmedicated, intervention free birth - Dr. Towsley is not the man. He has no concept of what a spontaneous, natural birth looks like and does NOT speak positively of a laboring woman’s abilities. He is very intense and has a horrible bedside manner."
