"On 2/7/24 I called the office asking for emergency care for my husband in extreme pain. We both were patients of this practice. I was given an appointment for a week later. I found another dentist to see him and it took 10 minutes an X-ray and a prescription for an antibiotic to start getting relief. I find it unprofessional and lack of compassion to allow a patient in pain to dismissed like that."

"I had a crown replaced at this place back in 2022 when I lived in Ocala. When I moved back to R.I. and went to my own dentistry I was told I needed a crown replaced and Ocala numbered the tooth wrong when submitted to bluecross. Come to find out after the dentist here in RI checked the X-ray it was the correct number and the job wasn’t done correctly and now I have the same tooth bothering me and now insurance won’t cover it and now I have to suffer with it. I would not recommend this place to anyone."

"My experience with advanced dental was not very good. I had several issues with the dental care I received there. First, the communication was terrible. Dr Liu is a capable dentist, but her communication skills are definitely lacking. My treatment was in the middle of the covid pandemic, so I do understand that some of the lack of communication was due to mask wearing, but she has an extremely thick accent and speaks in very broken English, making it hard to understand. I have no problem with anyone different than me and give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but the problem was that she didn't seem interested in making sure her dental plan was communicated well, even when she knew there were lingering questions about the treatment plan. I came in wanting all of my teeth removed, and top/bottom dentures made. She suggested (insisted really) that I get a partial denture in the bottom, because "it's easier to get used to". In the end I feel like she only suggested that because that way the dentures that were originally made would have to match the remaining teeth, and would inevitably need replacing, sooner than later, seeing as how the remaining teeth (holding onto partial) lasted only about 1 year. They charged me $6k for extractions, and full (temp) top and partial bottom dentures. No permanent top denture was included in the price. When it was time to get the broken and rotted bottom teeth removed (that she should've removed to begin with) I chose to go to Aspen dental for my remaining dental work. At Aspen I was charged $3k for extractions (granted there were less teeth to remove) and temp bottom denture AND the permanent bottom denture. This permanent bottom denture (from Aspen) fits so much better than the one I received from advanced. I can't imagine why they charged me so much, for only a temp denture. I will NEVER go back to that dentist, and DO NOT recommend them. I gave 2 stars because the staff was friendly, and did their best to translate for Dr Liu, but she was going to do whatever she wanted anyway. Go somewhere reputable. Don't waste your money or time here."
