"I have been seeing Dr. Higgs for several years. Dr. Higgs has always been there for me because I believe she truly cares, yet at the same time is professional and knowledgeable."

"I saw Dr Higgs for a few years. For some reason, her office felt it was ok to give out my personal cell phone, Instagram handle, and email to complete strangers (I am an animal rescuer). It was beyond unnerving to receive messages stating “Dr Higgs gave me your contact info.” When I called to try to speak with the doctor about why my info was given out I was given the run around. No one returned my calls for weeks. When they finally did respond, I was told that because Dr Higgs doesn’t accept insurance she does not have to comply with HIPAA. To make matters worse, she would not release my records to my new doctors thereby interrupting my continuity of care. I’ve never had a more disappointing experience with a supposed medical “professional” in my life. To make matters worse, when I was her patient, Dr Higgs no-showed on one occasion, leaving me sitting in an unlocked and unattended psychiatry office. My prescriptions would be left in a drawer in table in the waiting room for me to pick up. Some of these prescriptions were for a benzodiazepine—a controlled medication. Proceed with this office at your own risk."
