"I leave very few reviews of anything but I felt compelled to share my experience. I went to Palmer Acupuncture initially because I was suffering from chronic pain in my neck, back. On top of that my stress, anxiety were through the roof and I was hoping Acupuncture would provide some relief in my pain and reduce tension throughout my body. Being truthful, I was skeptical and not expecting results bc my previous experiences with acupuncture were uneventful. I showed up at my initial appointment then Julie sat down with me and immediately began asking questions/assessing. Due to my skepticism I purposely was being guarded in my responses hoping she could figure out what was wrong with me without me telling her. Much to my suprise within 15 minutes of us sitting down Julie had identified the pain issues I came to see her for as well as some broader systemic issues that had been plaguing me for years all on her own. After our initial sit down she immediately began working on me using various methods of acupuncture/therapy she employs and I felt instant relief. Julie was clear to let me know that it would take a few visits before these longstanding injuries/tightness were resolved. Julie also made it clear that there were some systemic issues I needed to address through changes in nutrition as well as some herbal treatment which she helped me with. I followed Julie's advice and within a couple of weeks the changes in my pain levels, stress and overall health were nothing short of miraculous. I now have very little chronic pain, and my overall mood, attitude and happiness are much higher. If you meet with Julie you'll quickly see she is not just about Acupuncture she's about holistic health and will use combination of physical tools (Acupuncture, Cupping) combined with nutritional counseling/herbal therapy to treat the body as an entire system to fix the underlying problems. Most practitioners will attack symptoms and fix them temporarily; but, what I've learned is for long term relief a multi-pronged approach is required and Julie can/will do that for you.
