"If I could give zero stars I would. Awful department with awful service and no care or consideration for the patients. My sister came in for a colonoscopy, they held her down and pricked her trying to get an IV four different times and had four different nurses try and do it. She asked for someone to hold her hand and not once could anyone afford that kindness. After they finally got the IV in and a panic attack ensued from the way they manhandled her, the anesthesiologist comes in and says that she wasn’t cleared by cardio and was unable to go in for surgery. She prepped for two days, not eaten anything, they’d called her three times to tell her how to properly prep, but couldn’t even call her to let her know to schedule a cardio appointment after her EKG’s, or even check her chart before they tormented her, to tell her she couldn’t go in. A nurse said they would contact her if she needed to be cleared by cardio but that never happened. They ripped the IV out and told her the only way she could be cleared was if she went to the ER. Low and behold the ER had no idea what to do and were so confused as to why she was directed to them. The GI department just wanted to get rid of us, without answering any questions. They tried to do everything they could and were the only helpful people throughout the process. So now after having this surgery scheduled for two months, we have to wait a month for a cardio appointment, and then another two for another colonoscopy. They should make availability for her and put her on top priority for their mistakes. This is a law suit for medical malpractice waiting to happen. It takes a minute to read a chart and spare someone the heartache of postpoining a life saving surgery."
"Sarah Scruby is highly recommended. She shows great concern and knows what she’s talking about. Very helpful"
"From the beginning of my process at the GI center to the completion of the process, everyone was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I was given explanations for every part of my procedure and questions were encouraged. Awesome staff! Many thanks"
