Our experienced doctor, Dr. Caldwell, is a private pilot with a passion for aviation and patient care.

Prior to your appointment, be sure to complete the online application on the FAA's MedXpress site and bring your confirmation number with you. We offer free consultations for those with complex medical histories. Remember to get plenty of rest the night before your appointment, avoid caffeine, drink water, and stay relaxed on the day of your exam.

With two convenient locations in Naples and Pompano Beach, our Naples office is situated on Naples Airport, next to The Pilot Shop and the general aviation terminal. The Pompano Beach office is easily accessible from I-95 at the Sample Road exit.

"My son is a junior in high school and an aspiring pilot, and we received the advice to have him screened for color blindness and see if he could qualify for a first class medical certificate before moving forward with plans for flight school. Dr. Caldwell was outstanding and we are so grateful to have found him! First of all, rather than pulling up to a medical facility with all the anxiety that that can sometimes produce, you get to meet him at the airport! Rather than the cold/clinical sterility of a medical office, you enter a building with pictures of airplanes and flight magazines on the table. Dr. Caldwell was incredibly straightforward, efficient, and thorough. He took the time to educate my son on what to expect both at this intial exam, and going forward for his future as a pilot. We were blown away at the end when I took out my checkbook and Dr. Caldwell said there would be no charge since my son was a student pilot under 18, and he wanted us to use the money toward his flight school. He then sent me a link for scholarships for aspiring pilots! Suffice to say, Dr. Caldwell was worth the 2.5 hour drive we made to see him -- and my son will look forward to seeing him annually from here on out! Thank you, Dr. Caldwell -- you are awesome!"

"Dr. Caldwell is a laid back professional and a fellow pilot. He stepped up and made calls to the FAA that my former AME did not have time for and assisted in getting my medical back. Dr. Caldwell understands the self inducesed stress that many of us place on ourselves and how important our medical is to our careers. Will continue the 4 hour dive for my 1st class. Highly recommend."
