"This old facility needs to be upgraded, not only with time management to improve long waiting times to see a doctor or NP for less than only 10 minutes but invest in automatic doors and ramps for the handicap! Such a shame that years ago someone use to sit up in front and greet you, sign you in and had the courtesy to hold the door open for people with walkers or wheelchairs. Think people! Your customers are mainly geriatrics! So why not accommodate them? Horrible location, waiting area and bathrooms are so dirty."
"I came into the clinic on 08/09 and had a terrible experience with Jazmine. I completed my intake as required. I then noticed that I had a balance. This was shocking to me because my last visit was a wellness yearly exam. Wellness exams are usually free through my cigna insurance. I questioned the past due balance bc it made no sense to me. The young lady working up front explained it and reported that I needed to pay the balance. I explained that I hadn't received the bill. She confirmed my address(no problem). I informed the young lady that I will pay the bill next week as I have had some fraudulent activity with my bank acct so I am waiting for my new card. She explained that I would need to pay the bill before I could see my provider. She called Jazmine to the front who stated the same. Jazmine begans to talk loudly about the balance. Explaining how she is SURE that I have received the bill. AT THIS POINT THE CLINIC IS LOOKING (the lobby was full). Jazmine's tone was that of a mother scoring a child. When I made it to the back my Awesome Dr.s regular nurse wasn't there. It was none other then Jazmine. I told her how I didn't appreciate her speaking to me in such an unprofessional tone. As I am speaking she had the audacity to TELL me to stop talking bc she needs to check my blood pressure. I told her that she can check it when I'm done speaking. Ppl come to see the Dr bc they don't feel well. In my case I was completely anxious about my situation. I hadn't had any sleep and I was one negatvie thought away from an anxiety attack. I respect policies and procedures. I also love being a patient of Dr. Garrisons. But I don't appreciate the way that business was handled that day. I gave 3 stars just because of the care and Empathy I received from my Dr. If I hadn't seen her on this day I would have given 0 stars."
"The visit was a disappointment and overall mess. From scheduling the appointment until the day of the appointment the staff repeatedly mixed me up with another family member, which prevented me from being able to complete my paperwork and be seen. I am still not sure why the data entry process was so difficult for the staff on the phones. However, I was able to get my daughter in. The receptionist was kind and understanding while the office manager was not. The physician was very thorough and personable. Because my information was mixed up with another patient and his personal identification information was visible to me in the registration portal concerns me a great deal. I hate being treated rudely and especially in a medical establishment. Management should lead by example. Soft skills are developed over time but basic customer training would serve the egotistical office manager significantly. She really escalated the frustration in our first experience at that practice. Instead of being accountable for their issues, the manager expected me to know the names of everyone I spoke to and even asked if I recalled accents. Basically an attempt to discredit my position in the chaos caused by untrained phone staff. The accent question was really interesting, to say the least. She then proceeds to forcibly tell me over and over that my paperwork should have been completed an hour before the appointment. The same paperwork that belonged to another patient. Despite me calling that morning, hours before my appointment to get this all worked out, it still was not. I attempted to explain that to her but her ego was too loud to hear me. Additionally, I told her that I never received my daughter’s paperwork and technically never received mine. All she repeated was it needed to be completed one hour before I got there. Unbelievable. If I could encounter the physician, her nurse, and the kind receptionist that tried her best to make things right at another location, I probably would go back. Again, the PII incident, poor customer service from the office manager, and long wait time (with appointments) prevents us from returning or recommending the office."
"This is only on the practice not the Doctor. My mother had an appointment and had been checked in online already days before. She had an appointment before and it was rescheduled to that day. It takes time to get her out of bed and get her there as she is recovering from multiple health issues. Once we were through the line and up to the front they asked for her name and date of birth. The lady behind the counter then proceeded to tell us her appointment was rescheduled and someone else had her appointment. Nothing they could do. She had received reminders about her appointment, so it made no sense why it was given to someone else. Not sure how to fix this but maybe call and always confirm before you head out that day for your appointment."
"You must be desperate to work for FMC. Especially the lab. The highest employee turnover I’ve ever witnessed in my 33 years of experience. Kristine and Angie are the lab supervisors. Not only do they NOT backup their employees, they push them to want to quit. As for the riverview office itself, the management there, is much worse. And it starts at the top with the office administrator Eddie and the new one on the block Jasmine, who has zero lab experience and thinks she knows how the lab should operate. If you want to be micromanaged, underpaid and under appreciated , this is the place for you! But most of us won’t. So I do NOT recommend working for FMC at any level. In fact I will be contacting an attorney post employment. And the building is full of mold!!!"
