"Extremely disappointed, my wife and I have been seeing Erin Lange Vandello since 2008 and my wife received a letter saying that Erin Lange Vandello decided not to be primary and that she will have to look for another primary doctor. According to the letter she will not longer see her because my wife missed her appointment with the Allergist. My wife had to cancel / reschedule her appointment due to a family emergency in NJ. My wife called the office to explained the reason she had missed the appointment. She got a call back and the representative told her that Erin stated to look for another primary doctor because she does not want to see her. I am in total disbelieve, my wife has follow all of the treatments provided by Erin, such as going to a Pulmonologist, getting a chest xray among other treatments. Since 2008, this is the first time that my wife missed to follow up with an Specialist."
"Due to the dismissive and neglectful care of the physician assistant that is the new care provider replacing Dr. Herman, I nearly died and required life saving treatment from paramedics and the ER due to my medical concerns not being heard. The service provided after Dr. Mahmood left has decreased over the years often dismissing requested much needed appointments and told to go to a walk in clinic or ER. After being a patient there for years, I no longer recommend them."
"I see both Dr. Gunn and Jessica Frome and I have had nothing but good experiences. They listen and ask questions... I feel my visits are very thourough and that they truly care about my health. I never feel rushed. I have used the lab for blood draws and have only good things to say there too. I have never waited too long after I arrive and the office staff is very nice. I refer them to friends all the time. It takes me at least an hour to get there but I would not go anywhere else!!"
"Every time I am scheduled to see the doctor or ARNP, I must wait 45 min-1 hour after my appointment time before I am taken to the patient's room, then another 15-20 minutes until I see the doctor. This is unacceptable. Most recently, I had to leave work early to go to the appointment, but because it took so long to be seen and get assessed, I was told I had to come back for labs because they went to lunch. Patient shouldn't have to spend hours at an office then be told to come another day for labs (which means to take off work again). After waiting weeks for my ultrasound results, I was told a nurse left me a voicemail with instructions to see a specialist. No voicemail was left for me with this information. I had to call and check the status of the report 3 weeks later because I never heard from FMC. All while my issue still hasn't been resolved and I'm still in pain. I've been a patient here for many years and am highly disappointed in their service. Their service hasn't always been great, but I dealt with it because I was established there. I will no longer use them as my primary care. It has become apparent they do not care about quality patient care nor their patient's time."
"First and foremost: ask the price for everything, because they will charge you for everything. My wife went in with some very general symptoms and they swiftly ran $850 worth of tests on her. The results? Absolutely no data, conclusions, or advice of any significance. Just back at square one, and money from us. I went for a physical, something that my insurance claims to cover 100%, yet Florida Medical managed to run some other test that would still result in a $177 charge to me. Oh, and I hope you're not in a hurry. Plan on scheduling every appointment 2 weeks out, and if you're a new patient add another 2 weeks in front of that for your "nothing" visit, just because you're new (oh, they'll tell you that you're scheduled for a physical, but then in the room with the doctor he'll let you know it's just a new patient visit). So if you like the sound of my experience here so far, then you will love a visit to Florida Medical."
