"I would absolutely recommend GEAA. We've been going here for 16 years. Dr. Meeker did our son's tubes and Dr. Hauptman did our daughter's. They are always prompt and great about getting you in and out. Dr. Hauptman is awesome and great with kids too."
"I had an ear that was clogged with loss of hearing and pressure ( normally go to accent but too long of wait) The doctor ( nice) tried and couldn’t unclog ear. He sent me home to use oil for two weeks. I went back two weeks later…..and left with same problem. He told me to “ keep using oil? and if hearing didn’t come back, make an hearing exam”??? I made appointment with accent, and they unclogged my ear in 10min!!! Told me “ I didn’t need the oil or hearing exam”. Waisted time and money. Should have waited for accent."
"What a terrible place. They charged me over $400 to tell me that I should let my body handle it. I’ve had >10 ear infections so far this year and was just looking for some relief. $400 to say that they aren’t going to do a thing. Save your money!!!"
"I went to this practice for a second opinion on a surgery recommendation. Dr. Hauptman was nice, professional and informative, but this practice waaay over charges for services provided. They have very aggressive billing practices! I brought CT images and records from my other Doctor and Dr. Hauptman immediately agreed with the recommendation after looking at the imagery, but said he wanted to scope my nose "just to be sure." The scope went less than a half inch into each nostril, I've had covid test swabs inserted further than this scope, and that resulted in the practice coding the visit as a surgical procedure and billing my insurance for $895, which raised my co-pay from $40 to $150. The visit took less than 10 minutes!!! Their billing practices are aggressive and seem unethical. I advise patients to ask at each stage of a visit if a procedure will add to the bill and how much before allowing the Drs. and Nurses to proceed."
"I called ahead of time asking how much my appointment would be. I explained all of my symptoms and issues in great detail ahead of time (issues with my ears and throat). The woman in charge of billing told me it would be $252 for a new patient visit for my ears/throat (my ears had been bleeding and my throat felt like it was closing up for hours at a time over a series of days) and a hearing test. I have a high deductible plan so I am very conscious of how much my medical bills will cost and won't take appointments if they'll be too much for me. I showed up today and saw the doctor. It took all of 15-20 minutes and this is what he did: - looked in both ears - looked in my throat - used a scope to look at my throat - told me he thinks I should be prescribed ear drops When I went to pay she told me the total would be $496. I asked how that could possibly be since she knew when I called originally about the price exactly what he would have to do given my problems and told me to full price ahead of time, plus he didn't even do a hearing test. She told me that him telling me he would "prescribe medicine" would "elevate the tier of the visit" and increase the cost from $170 for a new doctor visit to $280. He didn't even prescribe them yet. I asked if i just didn't get the ear drops if it could remain the original price since he hadn't actually prescribed them. She said "well he recommended them to you verbally." They charged me $120 just for him saying the phrase "I think I will prescribe you antibiotic ear drops." She said him looking in one ear costs $82. Him using the scope was $120. My very standard appointment in which he did nothing more than my nurse practitioner at my old PCP has done so many times before and cost $30 cost me $500 today. I was lied to about costs and I never would have booked an appointment had I been told the truth. I cancelled all future appointments. Do not go here because they will lie to your face and do things in your appointment without telling you the costs."
