"They have scheduled the appointment and cancelled it 3 times. I accepted the earliest appointment they had available each time. It will be almost a year since my referral IF they don't cancel again."
"Let me tell you about Shands Hospital . They stink... I had a Stroke back in June 0f 2022, In October I had my first visit with my Neurologist in October, Set a be back appointment for December. That was canceled to February. Was in hospital with another problem asked if they could come visit, they would not. Got another appointment for July 18, 2023. On that visit they set a return visit for Aug 8, today they called and canceled that appointment till March 2024. If you get sick don't go to Shands they don't care about patient. hey just want to expand"
"If I could give 0 stars I would, doctors ignore you for weeks, messages don’t get sent through properly, I’ve been waiting for a simple signature on a form for over a week. You call they say give it 1-2 hours then they don’t call you back at all until you call them and again all they will tell you is 1-2 hours. Went in person, they said give it 24 hours for the doctor to check their emails, it’s been 4 days and still nothing. Don’t waste your time with this unless you want to be a students project for a semester and then get left to die."
"Doesn’t matter how good the physicians are if they won’t fill your prescriptions and do their jobs. The front desk communicates through a online portal that the physicians appear to ignore. Tried talking to a manager and the front desk can’t give a number or email. The front desk can only do the online portal to a manager also. 5 days running out of medication is very dangerous and this is absolutely unprofessional. This is happening more and more with them. I used to love this department but now I would just recommend another neurology group."
"A Testimony to Excellence This letter is one of highest Commendation to the extraordinary skill sets of Dr. Justin Hilliard, MD and the phenomenal performance of achievement of the entire UF DBS team. Under his unassailable leadership; Dr. Hilliard’s passionate dedication to achieve par excellence of his surgical craft he was able to launch this amazing feat of medical accomplishment by substantially mitigating my chronic Parkinson’s symptoms. The fundamentally favorable results that were achieved are a true testament of his expert skills and mastery of the DBS surgical procedures. With his professional orchestration in leading the skillful members of the UF DBS support team including the exceptional Medtronic’s contingent, I have a new lease on life. He and his team’s total commitment in striving for ultimate success was clearly unwavering. Undoubtedly his surgical skill sets were guided by God as my fantastic outcome achieved is no doubt attributed to his expert surgical performance. This is my belief on how he was able to accomplish my truly amazing milestone. I consider this miraculous highpoint to be no less than a miracle. In retrospect; this DBS patient/candidate could not have predicted the degree of that my results where even possible. With the substantial mitigation of my acute Parkinson’s symptoms, I have new life opportunities of an improved quality of wellbeing. This experience is the first day of the rest of my life. By far the best Christmas gift ever. In conclusion of this Testament; the degree of achieved results is nothing short of a miracle. Having been diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2016, this disease quickly progressed. Suffering with daily dystonia, Bradykinesia, fatigue, body rock as well as the severe medication side effect of acute 24/7 dyskinesia, all amazingly all have been substantially abated or is basically are unremarkable as a result of the regimented UF DBS program. Truly I have been blessed with success. Therefore, it is with great humility with deepest gratitude a sincerest and resounding Thank you to Dr. Hilliard MD and the fantastic UF DBS Team.
