Founder Lamar Jackson, a native of Pompano Beach, is dedicated to creating a positive impact in the community through his restaurant. In addition to serving great food, Play Action Soulfood and More hosts a variety of events, including boxing fight nights, karaoke, stand-up comedy, and live musical performances. We also offer our space for birthday parties and private events.

"Real talk: been ordering food from here for a few weeks because my grandma loves turkey wings and they the only place in Pompano that has them on a daily. Grandma loves the food so of course I decided to make a trip of my own. I got 3 plates: Chicken wings, turkey wings and pork chops. Besides missing my son macaroni for his plate, everything was awesome. Restaurant is nice and clean and well taken care of. Food costs everywhere nowadays; to me their prices are very fair. Based on the quality I don’t mind paying their price. Very happy to support. 100x better than the original ownership of this spot which was a sports bar or something.
