Pasta Faire

"I asked my waiter if he brought my mother in law and I diet fettuccine Alfredo. He looked confused and asked what that meant. I said fettuccine Alfredo minus the taste. I have never experienced an Italian restaurant that can’t make a decent Alfredo sauce. It had no taste. We were told “well there is salt and pepper on the table.” And that they cater to the older customers so their food is purposely made bland. I’ve never heard of such a thing. The sodas tasted like the lines and fountains haven’t been clean in years. The Italian dressing tasted like water and vinegar. I did like our waiter he was very nice. The food on the other hand was such a waste of money. A frozen banquet meal would’ve tasted better."

"Of course we were invited down to the Ocala/Bellview area for Thanksgiving. And they wanted to do a special meal at Pasta Faire, they made reservations (I would recommend reservations anytime you eat there as it is usually pretty busy) We sat down they brought us out the bread, with the oil its amazing, old school Italian right there... We all opted for their Thanksgiving day menu items versus Italian, we have eaten here in the past, it has been a long time, but it is very good. Our meal was good, and the service was excellent, even the owner was running around during the time we were there. Unique spot to eat we will be going back so i will add some other photos down the road Realized i posted to my other google account that i dont do reviews on so now doing it here tooo on the correct account."

"We stoped in at Pasta Faire, for lunch during the week in the later summer of 2023. We walked in approximately 1:30pm. So the lunch crowd probably should have been mostly fed and on their way. They didn't have a seat for us because as I heard the waitress say, there were no clean tables because they all needed to be cleaned. I looked around a noticed there were not all that many people seated. So this must have been quite a few tables. We were seated fairly quickly though and had a menu. It took a bit for our server to come back to us. We ordered drinks which came out fairly quickly with bread and oil. The oil didn't have a label and tasted a little different than what I am use to. So I wondered what brand it might have been. Our server, who was very nice, took a bit, but came back for our order. The food came out fairly quickly as well. So all was good. The food was okay, but honestly, not that great. The wife did like her salad. But other than the bread, and her salad, we didn't find it all that good. Both of our food was basiclly, over cooked. But not so terribly over cooked that it wasn't eatable. It was over cooked, but still eatable. So of course we ate it, since we were hungry. I'm not sure if it was busier than it looked or not, but the only time our server did visit us during our meal, (before offering dessert), we just said that all was good. I never send food back, no matter what. If it was that bad, I just would not eat it. To be fair to our server as well, she doesn't cook the meals. We paid the check and went on our way. Pasta Faire was not a bad meal for the most part. It just wasn't a good meal either. The food itself, kind of reminded me of some of the cheaper Italian restaurants that we have came across over the years. Yes it filled our bellies and I guess that was the point. I also will say the prices didn't seem outrageous, and the staff were nice. So other than food that obviously wasn't their best (at least I hope), it wasn't a bad place. Pasta Faire did seem like it really is a decent place, and maybe just had a bad day that we happened to stop in. The core experience was fine. But for us, the food just wasn't all that good. Yet I still gave them four stars even though, honestly, it probably should have been three stars. I just can't help believe we just were there on a bad day. At this point, we might try them again sometime in the future. Though after our first visit to Pasta Faire, that didn't give us the best first impression. So at this point, I would not go out of my way to try them again. Especially if it was for the meal that we just experienced and paid for. Maybe it was just a bad day for them? I sure hope so."

"Where can I start! This restaurant is absolutely awesome. The nice young gentleman with a smile greeted me at the door. I couldn't follow him to be seated because of the showcase of cakes. They look amazing! I was told one the cooks ( Shaun Ray) makes them. There menu is very affordable. They have daily specials . Monday is AUCA Rotisserie Chicken for $9.99. I ordered the special. It was delicious the chicken was cooked to perfection. The green beans and broccoli was good too. My waitress was very attentive and polite. If you want a cocktail with your meal it won't break the bank either. I saw several selections for $7.00. The atmosphere was pleasant very inviting. If you ever in the Bellview area please stop by you won't be disappointed. I'm hooked on first visit."
