IHOP

"Walked into this place on Friday night around 10 PM. About an hour before they close. The place was nearly empty. We were seated by our waitress. She took our drink order and our food order. Several minutes go by, then something strange occurred. Our waitress came out scared and asked if we would mind getting our food in to-go dishes. She came out a minute later, still scared asking if we would mind just taking our food in the to go dishes and leaving. Something weird was going on. Waitress seemed skittish the rest of the time we were there. I snuck a peek into the kitchen just to make sure they weren’t being robbed or something. Everything seemed fine. I guess the employees just didn’t want to stay past 11 PM. I’ve never been asked to leave a restaurant before they officially closed. Not sure how this place runs the rest of the time. But don’t try if it’s less than two hours before closing time. Had to take our big family back to our tiny camper and eat our dinner standing up."

"In summary: Food tasted great. Served portions are really small. Prices are up along with smaller sized portions. The heater was set really high, and it was uncomfortably hot throughout the dining area. Service was extraordinarily slow with 7 min to be seated plus an additional 15 min for order to be taken. There were less than 6 people in the restaurant. The server was really nice. I love the food, but the overall experience matters - service, comfort, value, and taste."

"What a disappointment. This was my first time to an IHOP in over a decade, and it was my children’s first experience. My food was decent, as was my husband’s, but we ordered both kids a smiley face pancake and they were absolutely pathetic (see photo). Like, really? You can’t give him chocolate chip eyes or something so it actually resembles a smiley face? Just sad. Our waitress did pretty well on the coffee refills, but never filled our waters. Also, the bathroom was absolutely disgusting in both smell and also the actual toilets themselves."
