"We love this place. We love both locations but the seaside Location is a short walk from our home here. The food is amazing from oatmeal to cinnamon roll to croissant with ham egg and cheese. But the cinnamon roll and cheeseburger is THE BEST on earth. I see people here complaining about the 15% mandatory tip issue. You are in seaside not pcb. Act like it. Tip! Be kind and maybe everyone will be kind back to you….. the service is always better when you walk in with a great attitude. We love this place!!"

"Great spot for coffee, pastries, sourdough, and breakfast sandwiches. Super tasty and lots of outdoor seating to relax and enjoy yourself in the heart of Seaside. Some people have rated this place poorly because they are claiming the prices are too high and that they charge an automatic 15% tip. Most everyone has the auto 15% tip added in the area. And for those people that think prices are too high- I hate to say it but what do you expect the prices to be in Seaside? This is a premier vacation destination and real estate prices are extremely expensive. This small business has to make a profit to stay in business and to pay their employees well. People have no clue… anyways back to the review- this place is a great spot and we will be back!! Highly recommend"

"We loved Black Bear during our stay at Seaside! Everything thing we sampled over our week there was amazing! The staff was kind and efficient, the food was so fresh and delicious, and the location was perfect. We enjoyed many breakfasts and several teatime treats as well. The morning bun, key lime croissant, biscuits and avo toast were some of our favorites. The Tan Line was my favorite coffee drink and their iced tea was excellent. Finding such fresh and authentic items was a welcome addition to our wonderful vacation."

"This is nice coffee shop with decent coffee and pastries. The Tan Line was my wife’s favorite, Nitro was perfect for the hot weather, and Chai was good. The biscuit with butter & jam is a must. The kids loved the giant sprinkled cookie. They do automatically charge a “service fee” then prompts to add a tip. The ladies working were pleasant and was a super chill spot to take a break from the crowds."
