"I scheduled a pick up last weekend for November 4th. I called on November 3rd to verify pickup even though I was told that I would get a call. I called several times, texted, and couldn't leave a voicemail because it was full. What a waist of my time. I should have read the reviews."
"Enjoyed shopping here today. All items were reasonably priced and the furniture/art deals were great. Didn't end up buying anything today, but would stop by again."
"Why go through the trouble to run a website form, ask for photos, schedule a pick-up then no show. Not even a phone call. I even called on day of scheduled pick up as it was getting later in the day and was told yes. Was I even really scheduled? I question the integrity of this "charity". Don't ask for support (donations or money) if you don't follow through on your word. Sad really."
"I was super excited to do business with this company. I have very nice items I strictly wanted to donate and at a low to no cost. I had seen other places that charge astronomical amounts for pickup. My items are super nice and honestly I could've sold them so I searched until I was able to find a company with NO charge for pick up. I reached out 2 weeks ago with a pick up date request for Fri April 22nd. Followed the instructions and send photos. I immediately received a call from Rena. She was so nice and I felt I had chosen the right company for my donation. A few days in I got a text asking if I had been successfully scheduled. I advised I hadn't heard anything more but all info was shared upfront during my initial conversation and text with Rena. The day before pickup (Thurs) I received a text confirming pickup for Fri and thought I was all set. I never heard from anyone until after hours on yesterday. The caller (very nice gentleman) explained their truck was down. I explained to him in desperation when I didn't hear from them I placed the items on Nextdoor. Part of the donation had been claimed but I explained if the other half wasn't picked up I'd still want to use Atlanta Step Ups services. He asked that I text them back at the end of the day to confirm which I did. He explained I'd be put on the list for a pick up first thing this morning as the supervisor reads the text. I've texted again this morning. No response. This is disheartening. There are definite issues surrounding pick ups but lack of communication is the biggest issue. If you really need items picked up on schedule don't use this company. I had read other reviews like this so maybe I should fault myself for even giving them a chance."
"I absolutely love this thrift store. They always have the best prices and items! Awesome place to find used furniture and other household items. They have great deals on all types of furniture - couches, tables, chairs, rugs, etc. Make sure to visit their "Lavender Room" where all items are 50% off. Agreed with another guide who wrote about being ready to take home the items that day. They are not very keen on holding thing for you. Understandable though - since they have so many new items coming in on a regular basis. This thrift store recently relocated to Cheshire Bridge - and I am happy they did! Now they have even more space than before and the parking area is now easily accessible. They also support a great cause and community."
