"Great place with a wonderful mission"
"Great Place"
"I have closely followed the work of The Fuller Center for Housing since its inception in 2005. Started by Millard and Linda Fuller, who started Habitat for Humanity back in 1976, The Fuller Center is a grassroots organization with super-low overhead and a big ministry of affordable housing that reaches many U.S. cities and also countries around the world. From having their international office in a former Chinese restaurant building in Americus, Georgia, to having lean staff doing big work, everything I have seen tells me that The Fuller Center is wisely using donor dollars just as I would hope: to help people in need. That is only fitting since the founders, Millard and Linda Fuller, were self-made millionaires before they were thirty years old, and gave all their money away to live a life of simplicity and service to others. Millard died back in 2009, but the leadership of The Fuller Center continues to expand its outreach, with proud homeowners around the world making no-interest mortgage payments at monthly payments they can afford, with the income to The Fuller Center being used to build more and more houses. It is a well-thought-out, well-executed program involving volunteer labor, homeowner sweat equity along with a small down payment, and love in the mortar joints. It works! I love, appreciate, and admire the work of The Fuller Center and take great pride in being a volunteer and a donor."
"Great people"
"A fantastic organization. The staff and directors have been working in affordable housing for decades and know how to help in ways that empower a community, rather than perpetuating cycles of dependency."
