Windsor Hotel, Ascend Hotel Collection

"Beautiful historic hotel. Friendly hotel and restaurant staff. The bar(Floyd's) was awesome! The bartenders made you feel at home. The restaurant staff was friendly but the food was not up to par for that nice of a restaurant. Girts were cold and hard, and the omelets were way overcooked. But overall, still decent. My only real complaint and it's a big one! I was charged $275. Extra to clean a spot on the carpet in my room. The only way the spot could have gotten there was from the luggage cart. It was in front of the closet where I unloaded. Mind you, the carpet is so old it only has a pattern in areas you can't walk on. I never received a call from the manager before being charged or after attempting to contact her afterward. My advice is to park the cart in the hall or stay somewhere a little less convenient."

"Great spot. Old charm. Rooms are nice and clean and the atmosphere of the place is really neat. Has a nice upstairs kindA rooftop bar. If I the area and want something a little different this is it"

"Really cool, old hotel in downtown Americus. The floors were a little uneven due to the age, but expected in older buildings. Cool balconies and outdoor seating areas. Had a restaurant and a wine tasting room."

"Don't get me wrong the hotel itself is beautiful, but staying here realistically sucks, you can hear people having phone calls in the surrounding rooms as if they're right next to you waking you up if you have any intention of sleeping past 9, the pillows on the bed are incredibly small, and honestly the entire hotel has a slight smell to it of a retirement home. The only redeeming feature is how comfortable the beds themselves are"

"We stayed at the Windsor while we were in town for a wedding. We have never been to the area before. This hotel was beautiful and right in the heart of downtown Americus. It was close to the wedding venue as well. The staff were so kind upon check in and check out. The rooms were clean and so nice. The bed was so comfortable and so were the pillows. If we are ever back in town, we will absolutely be staying at the Windsor."
