"I have visited this complex several times over the years. My great niece has lived here for a little over 6 years. She recently looked into getting a bigger apartment here, but has been completely ignored about it. A few years ago, my car was broken into here and there was no camera footage available nor were we contacted when it happened. I wanted to write a review then, but she talked me out of it. My niece was given different reasons as to why she may not be able to get a bigger unit. The one you all decided to stick with after the other reasons failed to uphold, is that since she has paid her rent late 5 times this year, she wouldn't be able to get a bigger unit (she had an emergency csection in october & had to take a leave & communicated this to the office). You mean to tell me you all have a policy in place that denys a long term tenant an upgrade on her apartment because she HAD to pay late (and paid the $175 late fees everytime, no problem), but can't let people know when their cars are broken into and have no information available!? Keep in mind, my niece has lived here 6 years and this is the first year she's ever had hardships paying her rent on time, which happens to all of us. I decided to write this on her behalf because she is going through a tough time right now and for this complex to not only ignore her emails & not take into consideration that this has been a tough year for her after 6 years is wrong. Stephanie the property manager never gave her a call back nor the leasing agent Shanna who also never called her back explaining anything, which further proves you all could careless. Completely unprofessional to ignore your tenants. When she first moved in years ago, it was a nice place, but from the stories she tells me about how she, as a black woman, is treated here, I am SO glad she is finally putting in her notice to leave. Best of luck to anyone who moves here, but trust me, it's no longer luxury living, the fees are out of control, & no one who has lived somewhere so long should ever be ignored, dismissed, and treated like they don't matter. Especially for how much it cost to live at Aerotropolis."
"All this complex does is charge you monthly fees. Rent changes every month due to “water” when if water is included the rent should stay the same but nope it goes sky rocket every month and don’t let me get started on the 2 YT leasing agent women who always acting slow as hell and confused like they don’t know anything and scared of black people ! Tubs are un leveled and tubs stop up at least twice a month. Gate is always broken anyone can get into the building because the latches for the doors does not even connect anymore . The cabinets peel on their own and they don’t fix the cabinets so they say I would give this place a 0 only good thing about this place is the club room that they charge $500 fee for and the gym"
"Where to start? So listed rent is 1800 for 700 square ft. Including all fees and utilities that rise exponentially, its about 2400 a month in reality. What does this pay for? Broken security features, elevators out of order, faulty lighting, cheap interior design that peels and flakes at the slightest touch. The bathtub isn't level so water will pool up and not drain one end. So much cheap stuff like that. The best part? You'll get a late notice with threat of eviction over $40 that their software bugged out on! They force the staff here to nickel and dime the residents without support to maintain any of the facilities. For the stuff outside of the owners control: You better love the smell of weed and the sound of rap music at 1 A.M.! Dogs not on a leash and pet droppings left everywhere. My dog was attacked at the "dog park" they have here because of genuine apathy from the other residents. As a whole, its a mediocre way to live with a garbage community to make the experience even worse. Also, there will be a response to this about how they care and will address some of my listed issues. These are band aid fixes and will revert to their broken state a week later. Pros: the maintenance guys are chill and you can watch airplanes from the roof."
"Currently live here and I can not WAIT until my lease is over in October. Crystal is the only pleasant leasing agent in the office. Brandi has an extremely nice nasty attitude and will turn current and future residents away. Do no move here if you do not want FEES totaling over $200 on TOP of your rent. They MAKE you get subpar AT&T internet for $50 and make you pay for the OUTSIDE lighting for around $20 per month. The lamp post outside my window has been blinking since I moved into the apartment, it blinks right into my living room and my disabled sons room. Apartment staff stated it is for the city to repair, however upon contacting the city they notified me the apartments are responsible for those lights. I was also JUST informed if your trash-bin is still outside in the morning you will be given a $35 fee, which is no where is nowhere on the thousands of emails management sends out. If you have any other options make this your last!"
"I have been living here for far too long. The pool is always filthy, year-round (even though the courtyard/balconies have a 365 pool view). The pool has been open for only about 10 days in the the past 3 years. The hallways are disgusting and need trash bins and carpeted tiles. The utility service is a SCAM (I travel often and was only home for 4 days yet my sewer & water were the highest it's ever been)and you have to pay to rent the amenities. The community events are only held during business hours (when no one can attend). The gated garages and elevators are often out of service and the only way to HALFWAY get anything done is to contact the corporate offices. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM AND ONLY GETS WORSE. Even if you work for one of the surrounding airlines DO NOT DO IT, YOU WILL REGRET IT. The reply given is just as false as calling the community "Luxury". Even WHEN the pool is inoperable, it should be clean given that it is seen from the balconies."
