"Came to buy seeds, met with a rude and surly staff woman who laughed at the prospect of us buying seeds in February. Many other stores carry seeds right now, only an idiot would think someone would plant them in the ground right now. It doesn’t take much to have some manners and compassion, and especially don’t be condescending to nice well-intentioned potential customers. We had heard good things about Northside Nursery but after this condescending encounter, it’s left a bad taste in our mouths and we won’t be returning."

If I ever have a question plant related, I always turn to Northside. Their prices are extremely fair and have a great selection. Great people that truly care about landscape and even about you personally. I love it there and highly recommend them."

"The pansies I bought this fall are still blooming, unlike the ones I bought from Home Depot whose pansies looked lovely when I bought them but the flowers soon fell off, never to rebloom!"

"I bought some wheat grass here instead of pine straw for my growbag vegetable garden, it was recommended by a cashier... low and behold, it's more seed than straw. I have wheat grass coming in everywhere, in my prestign potting soil, under my pots, in-between my companion crops and even under the dam grow bags. Don't buy straw here and be wary of advice and overconfidence of staff, fair the warned. I would've give 4 if it weren't for this, most staff is knowledgeable and helpful though not always as friendly as staff at say a restaurant. This really messed me up, created a lot more work and expense... emotionally I want to give a 1, but its just 1 consequential mistak and they don't deserve that."

"Huge selection of annuals, perennials and veggies. Lots of planters and just about everything you need for your yard or garden. Very reasonable prices. Helpful staff except for the young woman at the register. All she seemed to be interested in was getting our money. She wasn't very nice to the guy ahead of us. I didn't dare ask her any questions. Sad. All the guys we talk to outside asked if we needed help and walked us to the green house to show us the plants we were looking for. 5 stars for them, but not for her."
