"The first time I visited this place with my boys it was on a week day after 5pm, there were no customers and therefore no wait. Romeo did a nice job and my boys loved their haircuts so we planned to return. We did return a few weeks later around the same time, the OPEN sign was lit up but the door was locked and there is no phone number on the door or on GoogleMaps so there was no way to call to find out if they really were open for business and maybe had to leave for a quick errand. So we left and returned maybe 45 minutes later, OPEN sign still lit and door still locked, no one in sight. We had attempted twice during business hours with no luck so we left. Weeks later my boys returned with their dad on a Saturday morning. Romeo was not there but another barber was, don’t remember his name. They waited over an hour before that barber finally addressed them and said he was only cutting his clients who had made appointments, and that he could only give one of my boys a haircut but it would be when all of his clients are taken care of. When their dad asked about Romeo the barber said he never knows when he will show up. Needless to say they left again without haircuts. This place seemed promising with our very first visit. They really need to work on communication, customer service and being respectful of their customers’ time. And they need to make new customers aware of their policies, i.e. Saturdays are by appointment only, walk-Ins only on weekdays."
"B, the owner of the shop had been cutting my hair every 2 weeks for over a year. Today I went in to get a cut and everything was cool at first until he started doing the edge up, all of a sudden he turned me away from the mirror and started acting funny. He neglected the entire right side of my head to avoid turning the chair to the mirror. He made sure to spray something in my head before ever turning the chair around. He backed my line up on one side and sprayed artificial hairline in to try and cover it up rather than just tell me. Instead of embarrassing a master barber in front of his customers, I decided to go to my car and see just how bad it was. I put water in my hair and this is what it looked like. I called and asked for him to fix it or just give me a partial refund. Letting his ego get in the way of business and the customer, he “peacefully” declined. In the midst of writing this review, I have also noticed that my beard is not even. I won’t tell anyone not to go to fresh haven barbershop because you may have a better experience than I did. But you won’t see me there. Cheers."
"I have my usual barber, but was in need of a cut before the week. After looking at all these reviews I was excited that such a seemingly good barbershop was near me. Just about all the pre-existing comments were very misleading, because I thought I would have been going to a nice clean and professional shop. However, I was very incorrect. As I pulled into the parking lot, the parking spots were limited. As I walked into the shop it literally felt like I walked into the hood. The barber who cut my hair wreaked of cigarettes, messed up mt edges, and ended up charging me extra. It didn't end there... it was $5 more than what it was supposed to be so as I, slightly bothered, offered my card was told that I had to go across the busy street to a run down ATM in a market to get the remaining 5 dollars.... I respect working people trying to make an honest living, but I would genuinely never step foot in there again. It wasn't a professional environment. If you are a respectable person, who enjoys a quality barbershop please go elsewhere. The most deceiving part of it all, is that it is literally 1 block away from a very nice area so this was all very discouraging."
"I went to ATL a few weeks ago and i wanted to get a cut and I'm from NYC all day! You know we take our cuts seriously. So i my cousin told me about this dude that he go to thats nice and that he is from New York also, so i had to check it out. The shop had a good vibe to it.. like on TV. But most importantly the cuts are more then fresh. Anything you can think of they can do there and the owner is a good dude... Hey but don't take my word go get a cut. You won't be mad."
