"I had a great experience at this salon. It’s not too far from The Battery in terms of location so definitely not a far drive from the city. Free parking is always a plus as the salon is in a plaza. I made an appointment beforehand, and I arrived early, so the stylist was able to start on me within 10 minutes of being there. Kurston was super nice, and I received a shampoo, hydration, treatment, blow dry, and trim. She consulted me on everything along the way, and did an amazing job. I think I might’ve found a consistent salon to go to. I will be back!"

"I came in for a shampoo, blow dry and trim. The stylist did not fully blow dry my hair (I was wondering why it was still so poofy in the chair and once I got in the car, I noticed that my roots were still damp) and in turn, my trim is uneven. The stylist told me that I had damaged hair, which is not true. She also combed my hair very roughly and even started from the roots, not the ends as she should have. I have always taken very good care of my hair on my own and just wanted someone else to do it for once. I will not be returning and will not recommend to anyone."

"The environment was very inviting. Although I only came to get my lashes done the other stylists greeted me and made me feel very welcome. Shaniya was a pleasure to work with as well. She displayed great hygene by washing her hands before and in between customers. Her tone was warm and inviting and she was very thorough when explaining the process and what to expect and also maintenance afterwards. I highly recommend this salon ESPECIALLY the lash tech Shaniya Flowers. She's absolutely amazing."

"I loved my first (and certainly not last) experience at Whip-Lash Salon! I’ve been eyeing them for years and decided to try them out for my birthday. I called first to ask some questions and the person who took my call was extremely friendly. When I arrived, my stylist immediately got started. Amor did my traditional install and she was AMAZING! Her craftsmanship, accommodating customer service, knowledge, and sweet spirit made my entire experience worthwhile. And for the first time in a very long time, I finally had a perfect, natural looking install that made me feel so beautiful. What Amor didn’t know was that I’m mid-pregnancy and was dealing with a bit of body image issues. So having my hair done exactly how I like it for my birthday gave me the boost I needed and made me feel more like myself. I also loved the atmosphere of the salon. It was relaxing and everyone just seemed to be so nice. I found my new salon for installs and natural hair needs!"

"I scheduled a shampoo/blow Dry, trim, and braid down services. When l arrived the environment was not inviting which was the beginning of me feeling uncomfortable. The stylist that did shampoo was rough. I have natural hair and the stylist blow dryer my hair from root to end vs end to root, smh. She had to be corrected. They bypassed my trim and went straight to braid down. I did not interrupt because l did not trust the stylist to cut my hair. At checkout the admin was rude when l tried to explain l did not get a trim. She completely disregarded me until the stylist confirmed. Overall this place is ghetto, and has an unprofessional staff. I was disgusted with my time there."
