"I've been going to Optimum Aquarium for a while now. This place has been go to for New fish or supplies. Mainly everything from the Fish to decor is all from Optimum. They have a huge selection on Seachem products which I use mainly for my Tanks. I've purchased all my South American Cichlids from them and every one of them has been super healthy and no complaints. I was looking for a Red Spotted Gold Severum and Nick (one of the staff) made sure to keep one aside and even called to make sure I got the Severum and it was healthy and everything went smoothly. Aside Nick, Greg and Daniel have also been super helpful and always welcoming me whenever I visit. Aside the fish I encountered a brown algae issue in the tank and instead of recommending me a overpriced product like some stores they recommended me a cheap bottle of Seachem Excel and explained why and how much to use it in depth. One week later my brown algae issue was resolved! I always see very Healthy fish, wide selection of supplies and the staff are amazing and they really know their customers! No matter what level of fish keeper you are in this hobby, you will always enjoy stopping by this place!"

"Mainly the one star is due to the staff, their selection is nice and prices are reasonable which is unfortunate because I would have been a regular customer but their staff just want the sale rather than caring if an animal will die or not. I’m expanding my aquariums and they were told what my setup was, how long the tank had cycled, and that I had never had a seahorse before and they didn’t as any questions other than if it would be alone or not. They did not voice any concerns, explain that seahorses have no guarantee, or say or ask anything that would have made me second guess getting one at the moment. I spent $140 just to go back and speak to the same associate that didn’t voice ANY concerns or questions until this morning when I woke up and it was dead in my tank, tested the tank multiple times and can’t find anything wrong but the staff basically said oh well you’ll have to try another one in a couple of weeks. I will not. There were two beautiful fish I was going to come back for Wednesday but I won’t because I don’t feel comfortable that their staff will give any clarity on caring for a new species, I believe they would sell someone anything as long as they were willing to pay regardless of it it’ll live or die. Because of that, I’ll go out of the way to go to premier aquatics, their staff has always been very thorough and I have never lost anything I have purchased from them. I would have gladly waited if they had just told me yesterday what they told me today but instead an expensive and beautiful seahorse is senselessly dead and their response was to shrug his shoulders and say to flush him. Awful, just absolutely awful."

"Great place! I’m looking at starting my salt water tank again the staff was nice huge selection great price. The store was clean. They resell items so that can be a plus. But will be going there again they made the process supper easy. And now I can buy salt water which is another plus. Great place hands down!"
