Reviews
"Excellent option for a curated shopping experience, as well as featuring current trends. My partner and I have a 60’s/70’s aesthetic, and we always can find great items any time we stop in. The recent addition of the home goods section has been a great source for adding that vintage touch to your space."
"I am continually impressed by the selection and prices at Ecologie. It can be difficult to find plus-size vintage and consignment pieces, but they have such a great selection for plus-sized folks (and it’s not just relegated to one sad rack in a corner like at so many other places!). I don’t think I’ve ever walked out without finding something I loved. I find their prices to be very fair, especially for such a curated collection. The staff is always friendly, too! I don’t live very close by, but I will go out of my way to come here if I’m looking for something specific or if I just need a wardrobe refresh."
"Long-time shopper at Ecologie and I’ve always found the most amazing pieces here. You must lock your bag away before trying anything on which is perfectly acceptable. Prices are extremely fair. Love their new furniture expansion - can’t wait to come back. :)"
"Not really sure what the deal is with this place, but in a decent bit of the reviews online you can see people mentioning feeling either uncomfortable or even judged by the staff, sometimes over race, and sometimes over petty things like the clothes they are wearing. I had a pretty weird experience kind of like that here today. I came in with my friend to sell some clothes, which I have routinely done for maybe a year or so now. When my buy was finished, I asked the employee over the counter if he had taken a pair of shoes that I brought in, I didn’t see them in the bin in front of me and just wanted to make sure that they weren’t mixed into another buy. I was polite as could be but unexpectedly received a rude response. The employee pretty much snapped at me and said they couldn’t take them because they are fake. I understand that this is a vintage store and their specialty is not designer items, so I do not really expect the employee to be able to properly authenticate Bottega Veneta. I brought them in only because I was curious to see what I would earn for a designer item here, and honestly had no intention of selling them. Still, this interaction felt very targeted and also made me uncomfortable. I did not pick a fight or try to argue with his claim, I said thank you and left. This is a good place to sell vintage items but I do not plan on returning. I’ve had good experiences with all other employees but this has ruined Ecologie for me."
"We accidentally stumbled across this store while finishing dinner. Had i looked at reviews previously I might have avoided it. Selection of clothes are 5/10, very dated and geared towards once sense of style. A lot of prices are too high for thrift items that you could find at a Goodwill. The real issue was that this was the worst shopping experience I’ve ever had. They will treat you like a CRIMINAL. They asked me to lock my purse into lockers to try clothes on. Asking customers to check their purses in lockers is very unacceptable and tasteless. It is actually the first time I’ve heard of such a request/requirement. If theft is an issue for this store maybe invest in some security tags, or have the sales associates not chat so much and keep track of who takes what into the fitting rooms. Making Paying customers feel untrustworthy is not a good way to run a business. The experience was not what I would expect shopping anywhere. That is my first and last time there, will not be back."
