"West Cobb Ortho is a wonderful orthodontist! My son is currently under their care, and he always has a great experience! My daughter will soon be getting braces, and we will be using them as well!"
"The best doctor I have ever encountered. Not only the doctor but his staff as well. I am beyond grateful for their kindness and how well they took care of me. If you want to go to a doctor that genuinely loves his job and cares about his patient Dr. Spilker is that person! Thank you!"
"Not the typical doctor or office staff. My husband and I have been going to this doctor for over three years he is very confident intuitive as well as response – able. He is never trying to run up your bill he is always incredibly sensitive about those that do not have regular insurance and pay out of pocket. His office staff reflect the very same thing. The staff is always so kind and intentional I enjoy speaking to them as well."
"I've been coming here for years. The office is pleasant but getting an appointment can be difficult. But that's no reason for 1 star. Billing is the issue that's constantly a problem. Nearly everytime I visit something is wrong with the bill - never in my favor. Recently, I requested my annual physical there but they coded it as an office visit. A physical is paid by my insurance an office visit is out of pocket. They made a mistake and *refuse* to fix it - it's not the first time. I'm done to many problems with billing. If you choose to go there, check you bill closely and even before they do anything make sure it's what you asked for or you'll be sorry."
"My husband has been coming here for 30 years. He loves this Doctor. I’ve meet him a couple times. Seems nice . I’ve been frustrated with him the last few years. I just didn’t feel he was attending to my husband’s needs, but my husband trusted him so I tried to as well. Today is the last day my husband will ever see this doctor. My husband has had a cough for the last two years that comes and goes. He has seen Dr. Spilker for it on at lest 4 different occasions that I can remember. Went in today his blood pressure was reading high. So they decided ro treat him with not 1 not 2 but 3 Clonidine! My background is ER nursing so when my husband texted this time me I warned him it would make him drowsy. Dr. Spilker told him that does not happen, but he should take the rest of the day off. Dr. Spilker knows we live in Rome over an hour away. I just had s baby also. He never informed my husband he should get a ride home. His office staff also forgot to check his blood pressure before sending him home, my husband had to remind them. No one ever told me I should come get him. They just sent him home after giving him a very high does of this medication known to be sedative. I get a text from my husband telling me he had to pull off 75 express lane to sleep. I try to call he doesn’t answer. He had blacked out for servers minutes! Now here I was can’t get a hold of my husband, loading a newborn baby in the car to come get him from a hour away. I also must mention how when I talked to Dr.Spilker on the phone during the visit he was joking about how he lost his privileged at one of the hospitals in his words “because I told a nurse a bad joke or something”. I called them to tell them about their negligence and the danger they put my husband in and he tried to lie to me twice saying that medication does not typically cause drowsiness. Then when I told him I know it does. He admitted he should have told Matt to have someone come pick him up. This is the last straw for me. Thank God my husband pulled off when he did or I could be a widow and my son without a father due to this Doctor’s negligence! I called to tell him I would be making a formal complaint to the medical bored and he just gave me their number, no apology! And I won’t even go into the attitude from the lady at the front desk. Remember Dr.Spilker, first do no harm! And you better thank God my Husband did not get injured!"
