"I was attempting to make an appointment when I was asked to be put on hold. I assume they do not have a hold button that mutes them from being heard. The receptionist started talking to the therapist and the conversation was inappropriate given the patient you're speaking of is on the phone AND can hear what you're saying. By the way, I never said that we "wanted a black man", the matter never even came up. Absolutely terrible. This is the reason a lot people of color don't go to therapy. You can't trust some of these therapist! Dodged a mistake with this one!"

"Disappointed in my experience with D’Anthony and Interlinked Counseling. What started off positive delved into a weekly nightmare as D’Anthony only wanted to discuss certain topics that I was uncomfortable with. Even though I shared with him that I was uncomfortable discussing certain things or even tried to steer conversations away from these topics he continued to persist and press me repeatedly during sessions. There were times when I would even ask about completely unrelated topics and he would still somehow refer back to the uncomfortable ones. Things reached a head in our last session where I tried to bluntly share my discomfort. Although he apologized he denied pressing or being adamant about focusing on the uncomfortable topics (even though he always brought them up). He also gaslighted me and referred to the obvious: That I was the one who was uncomfortable with discussing the topics (DUH wasn’t that obvious from my behavior mentioned earlier during our sessions ). After saying his piece he released me as a client even though I was trying and willing to still work together (Funny how after noticing a pattern in me and some of my relationships he didn’t pick up on what he and them had in common: The fact that they and him chose to walk away after I voiced my concerns and displeasures) He is entitled to his opinion and I am not here to bash his practice. However I am disappointed and hurt in how he chose to handle business."
