"I should have left this review 3 years ago. That's when I went to see Dr. Jackie as a new patient when I moved to Georgia June 2020. I was already 6.5 weeks pregnant with mono/mono twins that were conceived through IUI. I was able to get an appointment relatively soon. I saw her at 8 weeks along. It was the basic meet and greet appointment with her NP and ultrasound. I was scheduled for a follow up appointment and another ultrasound at 11 weeks. At that ultrasound, the tech could not find my babies heartbeats and Dr. Walters was called in to tell me that my babies were no longer alive and delivered my options. I decided to have a D&C since my babies had passed 2 weeks prior, per them measuring at 9 weeks along and my body showed no signs of naturally passing them. I had to wait an additional week before the procedure. I had the procedure in July 2020. Immediately following, I had very heavy bleeding. I called the office to let her know and see what needed to be done. I was brought into the Duluth office where I had another ultrasound and they checked my hemoglobin. I never received the lab results back, My hcg was never tested to make sure I returned back to baseline, nor did I receive the pathology report from why my babies passed, as she stated that it was more than likely due to genetic disorders. Three months later, I decided to try to have a baby again and went to see a reproductive endocrinologist. I had a HSG in late October 2020 where it was discovered that I had retained products of conception. I had to have another D&C done to complete my miscarriage from July. And on that procedure date, November 2020, I was still testing positive for pregnancy from that initial pregnancy that I lost in July. I called the office, left voicemails and attempted to get medical guidance for months before deciding to see another doctor. When I spoke with Dr. Jackie and her office manager, I was told that she was too busy and was missing a nurse at the time. The office manager told me that I was wrong for expressing ill feelings towards my treatment of care because Dr. Jackie delivered her grandchild and treated her daughter great. So I guess you have to know someone that knows someone or be a celeb to get top notch care."
"For your role in the most traumatic experience of my life, I am writing this review. In 2011, I used Dr. Walters for prenatal care after being dissatisfied with the care that I received at another provider. After going to several appointments, I noticed an odd dismissiveness that I didn’t care for. On my 20 week appointment, Dr. Jackie recommended that I see a specialist, and when I asked her why, she asked me if I had a cyst while looking at the ultrasound. I told her that I was unaware of having a cyst. She told me that her office would schedule an appointment with a specialist for the next week. For five days, I awaited anxiously as my pregnancy began to make me physically sick. By the time I got to the specialist appointment, no heartbeat was detected and I would have to go to the hospital and deliver my stillborn son. I saw Dr. Walter’s once during my time in the hospital, and she was just passing through with no concern. By the next morning, I delivered my stillborn son, and I was sent home soon after. The next day, my entire body was swollen, and I was very sick. I went in to Dr. Walters’ office, and without any examination she said, “You just experienced a loss. It’s just like getting a divorce. Go home and rest.” I went home, and since then I’ve watched her on tv pretending to be a concerned and skillful doctor instead of the mean spirited, dismissive, inept medical professional that she is. I would not recommend Dr. Jackie for anyone, even though all of this happened over 12 years ago. The way you treat people lingers even when the physical pain has long subsided."
"I admit I thought that Dr. Jackie Walters would be a good option because she seems nice on TV and works with celebrities. I had one office visit with her and would never go back. She was insensitive, kept interrupting me so she could get out the room quick. I was told by Jackie that im too overweight to have children and I needed to lose weight. You also said I was tight to push a baby out. Jackie stated that black people are loud and dramatic and thats why she was brash with me because only a black doctor can talk to other black people in a blunt way. You provided no compassion, referrals or treatment plan for weight loss and Family planning. I was like wow these folks on TV are not really kind in person its all an act or if I was celebrity maybe she would be kind."
"This is a place where if you are a celebrity or affiliated with a celebrity you will be treated well. If not you get what you get. Seeing Dr. Jackie’s comments on black women crying wolf and lying about their pain is very disheartening. It’s so hard to get good care as a black woman and to have this sentiment coming from someone who looks like me is a problem. Ladies please do your due diligence when searching for a medical professional. Ask around and get recommendations. Go somewhere where you don’t have to be a celebrity to be treated fairly."
"Dr. Walters is always a class act! She is a obviously a phenomenal physician and business woman. But she is also a kind and caring human being. Yes, you may have to wait to get an appointment but that is because she is the best and worth the wait! She delivered both my children. She is my daughters' chosen OBGYN and now she is helping me navigate peri-menopause. I'm grateful that I was referred to her 24 years ago! Nobody does it better."
