Reviews of Piedmont Physicians at Sigman Road
"This was my first visit and I was very pleased with the nurse practitioner Lisa Cranwell-Bruce. She was warm, friendly, attentive, informative, helpful and a great listener. The back office staff was friendly, acknowledging and polite. THE FRONT OFFICE WAS NOT FRIENDLY! WHEN I WALKED IN NO ONE ACKNOWLEDGED ME OR SPOKE. I FELT INVISIBLE. THEY EXPECT YOU TO JUST READ THE CLIPBOARD. Hope you have your GED and know how to follow written directions because you will get no verbal queues. If it wasn't for the back office, I would not return. The front office staff gets a negative zero (-0)."
"The front desk staff makes the visit so stressful. They need to be reminded of the following. We are not there because we want to be. And people who do not look like they have disabilities have them and whether or not they need someone in the dr office with them. I have had trouble with Samantha on multiple occasions filing insurance as well. She assumes she knows what she is doing regarding our medical issues when she doesn’t, makes horrible mistakes and assumptions making decisions, causing me to go without medication due to her mistakes and it becomes medical discrimination. Because the decisions she makes when you point out the mistake are met with “I know what I’m doing I don’t care who you are” After talking to the office manager, Sheryl, she made excuses for her and stated she was “sorry I felt that way.” They just followed policy. It becomes medical discrimination when you only follow policy for some patients. And medical needs are not met. This was not the first time they have allowed Samantha to get away with this behavior. I’m taking this manner higher. After reading the comments this is not an isolated innocent. It’s really sad that a drs office can’t figure out how to speak kindly handle people and when they make a mistake that conflict resolution isn’t able to happen. “I’m sorry you feel that way” it’s a blame shift. Do you really think we want to be at the dr Samantha? Most of us are chronically sick. Do you think we want to be there? If you can’t be kind in health care it’s not for you. And if conflict resolution isn’t for you neither is office manager. I’m sick and tired of 20 phone calls to follow up on medical issues because you are bothered or scan the wrong thing. And then accuse us of using the app wrong. Take accountability"
"Took my 88 yr old mother inlaw to see Lisa Cranwell Bruce. The front office staff was really nice. Can't say enough good things about Lisa. She was kind caring and professional. I felt very confident in her. Would recommend her to anyone."
"I’ve tried multiple times to schedule an appointment here. The few times I was able to get scheduled, I was turned away for one reason or another. 1. I scheduled a physical because I want to be a responsible Black man who visits the doctor regularly (I probably hadn’t gotten a physical in like 8 years). Then I got to the desk 15 mins early, the staff let me know that my doctor wasn’t listed s as my PCP on my insurance yet. So, I stepped out to call my insurance and get it changed - which is what they could’ve done themselves, because I’ve seen it done many times. I came back in 5 mins after my scheduled time to let them know I solved the issue and they told me I would have to reschedule because I was now considered late. TF?! I would’ve still been sitting and waiting had I been checked in on time! And to make matters worse, my doctor didn’t have another opening for another 6 months! 2. So I rescheduled for the following year, but by this time, I have an infant who I couldn’t leave home because my wife had returned to work. Apparently, their policy says no children, which I guess I could’ve known with proper notification (I.e. a phone call, text, notification at the virtual check-in, or even an email to my actual email address), but they expected me to notice I had messages in my virtual MyChart account with that information in it. But they could also specify what ages they consider a “child.” I get there with my infant in hand, and they were looking at me stupid and asking stupid questions amongst themselves. The receptionist goes, “Sit, it says on the door that we don’t allow kids,” like I was supposed to see that door before I packed my child into my car and left the house. I asked to speak to whatever supervised she claimed to speak to, and no one ever came out. They just kept telling me how cute my baby is and I really took offense because bump all that, I wanted that supervisor or the doctor I scheduled with."
"Visited Piedmont physicians Dr. Yerie Yang today for the first time. This was a great experience. Front desk staff was very inviting and kind while checking in. Shara( I hope I got the name right) the medical assistant was very friendly very knowledgeable of her job and seemed to be very thorough in her job duties. Dr. Yang was great we went over my medical history and we got to know each other. She definitely was instrumental in achieving the trust factor that a doctor should have with their patients. Glad to have met her. The lab technician was very friendly and kind as well. Great staff"
