"First, of all I want to say that Dr. Ramshur and Dr. Humphries are really fantastic- and so are their nurses! Great professionals who are pleasant, accommodating and knowledgeable. Now for the horrible truth about their front office staff and office manager. These individuals are doing a tremendous disservice to these great doctors and nurses. Trying to call and reach someone to make an appt. or get a prescription refilled is nearly impossible. The recording loops continuously around- for 2 to 3 hours!!! This happened Multiple days! They seldom pick up, and if they do finally- they put you on Hold. When I did finally make an appointment, I showed up exactly on time, but was told my appt was 45 min ago and I was a No Show. Now why would I show up late to an appointment that took 3 days to try and make?! I have never missed an appt ever ......and the office manager herself said that I made the mistake- never apologizing or taking responsibility. Unbelievable! Fortunately, Dr. Ramshur himself corrected the situation with ease and professionalism- NOT the office manager or staff. I have two friends that also go to this practice. BOTH have had the same issues with calling in- no answer and they also had appointment issues and were actually scheduled when their doctor was not even there that day! How is this lack of organization, terrible communication, and rude treatment by the office staff being allowed to continue?! Again, the doctors and nurses are amazing, but they cannot make up for the incompetence and behavior of the office staff."
"I would like to recognize two special people at the office. Dr Zachary Cohen is such a wonderful physician. He is so patient with us and takes the extra time to find out exactly what is going on with my husband's health issues. We are blessed to have him in our corner and helping to advocate for better health. Recently, Samantha Cunningham went the extra mile to help resolve some issues with scheduling a diagnostic test for my husband. She was diligent and kept us updated on the progress as often as was needed. She has been prompt to answer our questions in a timely manner. Thank you both so much! You two are very much appreciated."
"Dr. Cohen is wonderful. He has his integrative medical license in addition to being an MD. I really appreciate being able to receive recommendations for herbal remedies for various viruses. I appreciate how I’m not treated as wacko for pursuing various alternate medicine treatments. He spends quality time with me and always checks to make sure that all my questions or concerns have been addressed. The office staff is nice. I haven’t had any issues getting refills on a prescription when I call and leave a message. I’m not sure why someone recently said they wouldn’t do a gynecological exam. They do. I was asked at my physical, but said that I see a separate gynecologist for Pap smears, etc. I’d like to comment about those leaving negative reviews due to what their insurance would or would not cover. The insurance world is wacky and varies from policy to policy. For example, ten different people with Aetna can have ten different policies with ten different types of coverage. Most policies may cover checking “x” on blood work, but then yours doesn’t. I’ve been there. It’s frustrating, but it’s the insurance not the doctor’s office."
"Was attempting to set up an appointment to have a PCP as I have had many medical issues lately, resulting in an ER visit and multiple walk in clinic visits over the last couple of weeks. I went for my first appointment, but was 10 minutes late and told I couldn't be seen. Understandable. This unknown/scary illness caused me to miss my second try to see them (I was asleep for almost 36 hours straight/extremely ill). I called to reschedule and the rude receptionist said that she would have to talk to the doctor to see if they even wanted to see me. I explained to her all of my visits and why I didn't make the last one. I don't mind paying a fee, money is not the issue. I understand how valuable these doctors' time is. Again, I don't mind compensating them for that. Unfortunately I did not get a chance to even explain that to them. Such a shame that someone extremely ill and willing to pay cannot be seen by qualified doctors because of an incompetent admin."
"While the Oak Grove doctors are fine, their billing process is not. I made sure at the time of my visit that all procedures were covered by my insurance. A month later, I received a bill by mail for that visit. Calling the only number on that bill was a classic exercise in customer no-service frustration. I had to call the office directly to get it handled, and am still not sure it has been. Rating their doctors is a 4 or 5. Rating their billing is a 1 or 0."
