"Where do I begin? I am so disgusted by the entire Kaiser system. If left up to their incompetence my mother would be dead. And will likely be soon. 1.took an hour to get ahold of an emergency nurse on the phone who had no ability to lead or guide is in any way. 2.we ended up back at the advanced are unit 3 x’s in 1week because of their incompetence. 3 endocrinologists, 2 MD’s & 2 Emergency Dept NP’s have expressed their disbelief of the path they have set my mom on both leading up to those emergency visits & at them. 3. The follow up with her primary doctor led out of the system the system that has proven it can’t be trusted, risking paying out of pocket, to “the real Emergency Dept” the following day. 4. Our experience over the 3 days we spent at the advanced care unit: No pillows for patients. Hours to get a blanket in a freezing cold room. Sheets torn, tattered & placed on bed inside out. Hard & uncomfortable beds. All Tv’s broken. 1 doctor & under staffed team for entire dept, causing long wait times in this small facility. Sent us home without showing my elderly parents how to inject the insulin she should have never been put on. Or preparing us for what could & did happen. I really could go on…. My best advice: Don’t ever get into the Kaiser System. If you are in…get out while you are still alive!"
