Cook Out

"Come to this location often as it’s the closest to my house. They are hit or miss on getting orders correct. I came by on 02/01/24 and ordered 3 trays. I asked for dipping sauce for my tenders and noticed it wasn’t any in my bag when I pulled off. No biggie! I parked and went to the walk-up window. I stood there for 10 minutes and in those 10 minutes a young man walked past the window TWICE and made eye contact TWICE but never came to the window! I had to bang on the window for him to acknowledge me. All I needed was the sauce they failed to put in my bag. The crazy part is a plan clothed individual who I assume was the manager was right near the window and didn’t even notice or acknowledge that I was there. I normally don’t make reviews because I know fast food workers have it hard sometimes but today was utterly ridiculous! Poor customer service is a pet peeve of mine and I may not be returning to this location because of it."

"After getting a disappointing burger from Whataburger, I was pleasantly surprised by Cookout! I ordered just a regular burger with a few toppings. My car smelled so good on the ride home that I almost ate it during the drive. That burger tasted as good as it smelled! Delicious like a home cooked burger. This will be my new go-to spot when I'm craving a burger and don't feel like cooking."

"At first I got a really sloppy made sandwich missing cheese and hardly any lettuce with a soggy bun. After going in they were very polite and remade my burger to perfection. I really like this location. Only downside will need to come earlier for drink refills due to lobby closing at 11pm. I will definitely be returning here. ☺️"

"I saw a lot of reviews for this place saying they didn't like how the food was cooked. There is no hidden secrets here it is just good home style cook out food. Much better than stopping at fast food chains and just as fast and cheap maybe cheaper. Everything was cooked perfectly for us, I got a burger, onion rings and slaw. The slaw was lightly dressed and peppery perfect to go with the other fatty fried foods I ordered. The nice lady behind the counter recommended a banana eggnog shake (exclusive for the holiday season) and it was soo yummy!"

"Ordered chili dog - hot dog was burnt on one end. It appears as though this is normal? I don't like burnt food! Ordered a mint Oreo shake it did not taste minty at all Ordered a caramel cheesecake shake. I guess it's not supposed to have cheesecake bits in it? Oh wait, I found two cheesecake bites at the bottom of the shake.... No straws in the bag, no napkins in bag The cookout Restaurant near me generally has quite a long drive-thru line. I get it, they have a lot of different choices, their pricing is decent and their shakes... Enough said. Tonight was my second time eating from Cookout Restaurant. It was the Sunday night about 10:30 p.m. The restaurant was hopping and I can't imagine that's easy to maintain a team of teenagers! I ordered chili dog, onion rings, and mint Oreo shake and for my friend a caramel cheesecake shake. No straws in the bag, no napkins in bag! And the bill was $14.11. kind of costly considering the disappointing quality. The chili dog: the hot dog was burnt on one end. It appears as though this is normal? I don't like burnt food! This was the first time I've ordered onion rings. If you prefer to have your onion rings consisting of chopped onions, this is not the restaurant for you. Instead, the onion rings were solid onions all the way around. They tasted good. I ordered a mint Oreo shake & it did NOT taste MINTY AT ALL My friend ordered a caramel cheesecake shake. I guess it's NOT supposed to have CHEESECAKE BITS in it? Oh wait, she found two cheesecake bites at the bottom of the shake.... I simply will not order onion rings or a chili dog in the future. But I do feel that the shakes should have tasted 1) MINTY & 2) have cheesecake bits in the Shake"
