Picnic Cafe and Dessertery

"Went here to order coffee and pastry while walking through the town. Kind of busy, but not overly slammed. There was 1 couple behind us in line. My better half asked for a latte. The attendant said they were too busy to make a latte. My daughter in law asked for cherry blossom green tea. The attendant charged for it, then said they were out of cherry blossom and we had to choose another flavor. We finished our order, paid and we entered the line after the couple behind us. Asked again for the latte, since no one was waiting to order and she again said they would not make the latte, not an espresso. Very disappointing, considering this is a cafe advertising coffee as a staple product. The peanut butter fudge drizzled cookie was really good and so was the canoli. However, regardless of how good the food was, I will never revisit this place because of the poor customer service I received. This lady could care less if she covered customer needs and that is bad for business. Such a great place, but very poor service. If you go, I can only hope you get better service than we did. "Early on a Sunday morning, it was time for coffee. It wasn't at all busy so I had my choice of parking spaces in the public square. As I intended to sit with my coffee for a bit, I took it outside and sipped while writing a Yelp review or two before heading onwards. A good flow of customers coming and going. Pastries, breakfast sandwiches and a variety of coffees this morning. It's a nice busy spot and it's #LocalCoffee."

"Picnic Cafe and Dessertery is a delightful little shop located in the town square. The sandwiches, quiche and pastries are delicious. The coffee is well made and is not bitter at all. My husband loved his breakfast sandwich and my quiche was phenomenal. The restaurant atmosphere is cozy and inviting. The staff is very friendly, helpful and outgoing."
