"Went today for Valentine’s Day, and the service + food was phenomenal. Their pizza is probably the closest to true Italian pizza that I’ve been able to find - most places don’t even compare! Our server was very friendly and attentive, and the charcuterie board was a great starter for us. Great fruit, cheese, & meat selection. Overall a great experience and we will be coming back!"

"The food today was amazing! So so much better than eating up in the main winery, we stopped going there because menu was not good. The menu at the trattoria is wonderful. Tons of options. The trattoria risotto and carbonara were delicious. Our server Haley was excellent. Only coming to eat here from now on, a true Italian menu. Delicious."

"It’s rare to provide a rating this low, but this place didn’t hit any of the marks. Waitress was nice but barely at our table. Had to get her attention more than once. The food seemed to take longer than expected based on the amount of customers present. Chicken parm tasted like a quick thaw frozen meal. Bianca pizza was dry, and cheese was more of a grated Parmesan on it-like a cheese shaker was used to make it. We did really enjoy the bread, oil and roasted garlic. It was the best part of the visit. Additionally, the main entrance doors open up to the center of the restaurant and on this blustery cold day, we were constantly blasted with cold air as patrons continued to hold it open while waiting for their group to get to the door."

": Trattoria di Montaluce has the potential to be a great restaurant, but unfortunately, their recent performance has been disappointing. The service is slow and inattentive, and the food is inconsistent. Despite these issues, there are some positive aspects to the restaurant, such as the beautiful location and the great salads. I hope that the restaurant can make some changes to improve their service and food quality, so that I can become a fan again. Here are some of the specific issues I experienced: Long wait times: I tried to make a reservation online, but there were many available options, so I didn't think it was necessary. However, when we arrived 45 minutes later, we were told there was an hour-long wait. We decided to wait at the bar, but it took about 15 minutes for previous seats to be cleaned and for us to be acknowledged. Inattentive service: The staff seemed more interested in talking to each other than paying attention to the customers. Our original server never apologized for the slow service, the wrong pizza, or the general lack of attention. Inconsistent food quality: The salad was great, but the pizza was terrible. It was covered in anchovies, which I had specifically asked to be held. When we asked for a replacement pizza, it took another 20 minutes to arrive. Understaffing: The restaurant was clearly understaffed, which is contributing to the long wait times and inattentive service. There were many staff members visible, but they seemed to be more focused on tasks that didn't involve directly interacting with customers, such as washing glasses, stocking wine bottles, and chatting with each other. Overall, I was very disappointed with my recent experience at Trattoria di Montaluce. I hope that the restaurant can make some changes to improve their service and food quality, so that I can become a fan again. Here are some suggestions for the restaurant: Address the staffing shortage: Hire more staff to adequately serve the number of customers the restaurant can accommodate. Encourage staff interaction with customers: Train staff to be more aware of the customers' needs and to be more proactive in providing service. Improve the quality control of the food: Ensure that food is cooked to order and served hot to maintain consistency in quality. Reevaluate staff priorities: Ensure that staff members are focusing on tasks that directly impact customer experience, such as taking orders, promptly serving food and drinks, and addressing customer requests. Implement a feedback system: Create a system for customers to provide feedback on their dining experiences. This will help the restaurant identify areas for improvement and track their progress."

"Two restaurants at the winery. Both nice. One only has a few options for vegetarians, stick to Trattoria di Montaluce if you aren't. However, I will say the atmosphere in the restaurant at the top is fine dining and my mom would love it. The pizzeria is great for pizza, perfectly crisp, quick out of the oven! You can sit inside or out, ask to sit in the garden area, we thought they only had the terrace (too much sun/wind). The salad was a throw away item, it was fine but nothing to write home about. Presentation was lacking, just looked like my hubby chopped a bunch of veggies and threw them in a plate... fine but... Our waiter could not have been nicer or more attentive;) The area is beautiful and if you go on a weekday you will have it practically to yourself ;) Take a day off, relax, enjoy!"
