"0 Star rating but my reviews keep getting removed.. I bought a new Chevy 6500 in 21 from midstate Chevrolet which picked baker truck equipment to put the dump body and hoist on. I have had nothing but problems from day one with the pto and lift hoist. you can find my videos by searching baker truck equipment review. Videos showing the multiple issues I have experienced in one year of daily use. We haul 5-6 tons max of dirt and stone for home delivery. The pto didn’t work as one should which is not Bakers fault but they should have known that it was a bad option for a dump truck because you cant dump on the go. The truck was setup for a 3500 load rating or smaller. Not a medium duty 6500. The welds on their subframe cracked. The hydraulic reservoir was too small for the cylinder and blew hydraulic fluid all over my customers driveway. At the end when I replaced it it wouldn’t lift a load anymore the system would fill with air. Last the scissor lift ripped out of the frame all shown in attached links. Worst was I asked them to buy their parts back for $2500 and they gave me a run around for months and eventually stopped answering their phone. Virgil was nice but did nothing for me when their product fell apart. New lift hoist and muncie clutch pump with a larger cylinder and reservoir cost me $12k out of pocket and this year has been a struggle from it. I had another company replace everything with heavy duty parts and they said this was a sub standard setup for this size truck. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. All problems and my repairs are shown in attached link. Go to someone who stands behind their product you deserve better then Baker Truck Equipment has to offer.
