"I waited at least 2 months after pulling my child from this daycare before writing a review. I wanted to make sure that I did not write it out of rage. I had my child in this daycare for 6 months. It always seemed like they didn’t have enough people to care for the children or that they were overwhelmed. I still continued to take my child here despite that because my options were limited at the time but what made me pull my kid out was the treatment I received from one of the infant room workers. For months they had been putting random things in my child’s crib (gift bags, adult clothes, other baby’s items, bouncy chairs, anything they didn’t have room for ended up in my child’s bed) After asking politely to not do that at least 4 times they continued to do so. I called and told them that if this continued to happen I would not keep bringing my child there and I asked for an explination as to why they could not fulfill this request with no answer. When I went to pick up my child after work that evening, the male worker in the room was extremely rude and refused to talk to me about it. He told me that he had nothing to say to me and if I needed anything moving forward I had to contact the director because he did not have to deal with me. That was extremely unprofessional. If you are going to treat a parent like that right to their face how can I be confident that you will care for my child when I am not there? I had a valid concern and instead of apologizing and trying to fix the situation the man handled himself in the worst possible way. It is unfortunate for them that this center allows its employees to treat parents this way. Every day we dropped our son off, we felt like a burden that we were bringing him at all. The room was always at 77 degrees and when I asked the workers why they said it was because the director stays cold so she doesn’t like to turn on the air. They charged an additional $50 to my bill for new toys for the baby room however I never saw any new toys or chairs brought in. They did however have a gas fireplace installed in the common room. One of the many other reasons why I would never bring my child there again. I will say that Tabby that works in the infant room is great. She did apologize on behalf of the man that works with her and said she didn’t blame me for being upset. I feel like she was just as baffled by his behavior as I was. You can tell she cares about the children and does the best she can. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem that she gets much support which could explain why she always had so much going on. She didn’t have enough help. I pulled my son and put him in another daycare which is absolutely wonderful!! You realize the poor care that you are getting when you finally get your child in a center that truly cares about the children and runs their facility efficiently and with love. Good Shepard does not do that."
