"I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about this bed & breakfast. Our hosts, Phil & Amelia, were so kind and welcoming! The home is steeped in rich history, and Phil gives an informative, interesting tour. Sooooo many gorgeous antiques! My husband and I slept really well, and the Sunday breakfast prepared by Amelia was incredible (some of the best biscuits I’ve ever had!). We have stayed at many bed & breakfasts, and this is one of our new faves. After having a tough couple of weeks, Phil & Amelia’s kindness and graciousness were much-needed, and we had a beautiful experience at their lovely B & B."
"we had the pleasure to stay for two days with our children at that beautiful place. all of us loved it. every furniture in this house is history. every detail is arranged with love. amelia and phil were perfect hosts: very interesting house tour with phil and the best breakfasts we had the pleasure to get in US made by amelia. the house itself is located besite the jarrell plantation site which is a perfect place for a time journey through 150 years. closeby is the beautiful cozy village juliette - famous for the whistle stop cafe -> filming location for "fried green tomatoes". looking for something special? here it is :)"
"Talk about a step back in time! This is a beautiful old home that is still owned by the original family and operated as a bed and breakfast. The walls and ceilings are all covered with heart pine bead board and the floors are all knotty pine that was all sawn/milled in the saw mill that is still intact at the Jarrell Plantation State Historic Site next door. While the house has some modern amenities like central HVAC, wifi, and satellite tv, it is primarily furnished with original period furniture. Phil and Amelia are wonderful hosts and seem to love sharing their home and it's history with their guests."
"Many rustic and historic buildings laid out in a hilly area that's wooded, roughly on a circle very interesting living history actors for a nice touch. Visitor Center was pretty nice also has several interesting items for sale some about Jarrell Plantation some there were items that were related to the historical time frame of the Jarrell Plantation"
"One hundred year old pine board construction handcrafted offset with dark antique furnishings took me back in time, yet everything was as comfortable as my own home. Hosts were very gracious and provided loads of info on a wide variety of activities for all interests in the local area."
